Lee Farm Bureau announces scholarship recipients

John Cameron, president of Lee County Farm Bureau, announced scholarships to 10 area youth at its recent meeting. Farm Bureau presents scholarships yearly to students who are continuing their education at either a four-year or two-year school. Preference is given to Farm Bureau members. This year, each student received a $750 scholarship.

Students receiving the 2013 Farm Bureau scholarships are:

* Katie Amelia Makepeace, daughter of Richard and Kristie McNeill. She will attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

* Hailey Brooks Chapman, daughter of Chris Kelly. She will attend Central Carolina Community College.

* Allie Whitley Eyers, daughter of Terri Whitley. She will attend Wake Forest University.

* Thomas Kenneth Dabolt, son of Reuhl and Kim Dabolt. He will attend Sandhills Community College.

* Morgan Nicole Makepeace, daughter of Richard and Kristie McNeill. She will attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

* Morgan Brianna Gillis, daughter of Brian and Lisa Gillis. She will attend Central Carolina Community College.

* Katelyn Macy Thomas, daughter of Mark and Sharon Thomas. She will attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

* Caleb Cole Nicholson, son of Donald and Teresa Nicholson. He will attend Sandhills Community College.

* Cody Aaron Wicker, son of Roger and Barbara Wicker. He will attend Central Carolina Community College.

* Holly May Stack, daughter of Wesley and Lori Stack. She will attend Central Carolina Community College.
