Summer camps are in season for kids
School's nearly out, so that means summer camps are just around the corner.
There are dozens of camps in and around Sanford this summer, ranging from free to hundreds of dollars. Some are once a week, some meet for a full week and others last for a good portion of the summer.
Kelly Quinones Miller has been compiling a list of all the camps in the area on her website, socialsanford.com. Most of the camps this summer have been around for a while, she said, but there are some new ones like a boating camp at Jordan Lake.
Miller said the list will be updated throughout the summer, whenever she learns about a new camp happening.
"Our area has a lot of great camps, but sometimes people don't hear about them," she said. "So that's my goal, is to let people know what's out there."
For more information on all the area camps including prices, dates and how to register, go to http://essentiallee.com/socialsanfordcamps2014.pdf unless otherwise noted.
