NAME: David A. Nestor

AGE: 57

FAMILY: Wife, Dawn, blended family son Daniel and daughter Caitlin, stepson Andy, stepdaughter Rebecca, stepdaughter Samantha and husband Russ, along with twos grands, Raleigh and Dominic.

POSITION: Owner/broker at Adcock and Associates Real Estate.

HOMETOWN: Born in Seattle, Wash.

What is your favorite movie? "Slapshot" with Paul Newman and, yes, you do need to look away a few times. "The Negotiator" is a close second.

What is your favorite book? Pretty much anything that Grisham or God has written.

Is there a hobby you can't live without? Without a doubt, rock climbing

Is there an item or collectible you hold dear? I have a fishing rod and reel that was my dad's (he made the rod).

Where would someone be most likely to find you on a Saturday night? Either on the couch watching a movie with my sweetie or at the climbing gym.

What are some of your favorite things? Tough question for me — maybe my tools

What would be your last meal? A fine wine with a choice steak and Dawn at my side

Who would be your ideal dinner guests? (Name three, living or dead) My dad, my wife and her dad

What is something interesting most people don't know about you? I can fall asleep in seconds.

Ideal vacation spot: Currently, it is Tampa, Fla. — that's where the grandkids are at.

Favorite professional sports team: Still have a soft spot for the Seattle Seahawks, and since Russell Wilson is there, it makes it easier for folks around here to swallow.

If you were given $5,000 to donate to a nonprofit organization, which would you pick? Any charity that educates and does things to make individuals better

Ever had a brush with celebrity? Clint Eastwood in Sun Valley, Idaho — nice guy, and really easygoing

What would you like to know about the future? Duh, the hottest of hot stocks

Would you go bungee jumping or skydiving? You bet, and if I like it, I will do it again and again. Figure they will be good sports once I can't climb the rocks any more.

Do you have a tattoo? On the bucket list, but only to gross my kids out

Any fears or phobias? Losing those you love

Ever been outside the United States? Canada, Mexico and Alaska (does that count?)

Favorite kind of cookie? Ones made by those cute little old ladies, packed with love

Favorite season? Spring — getting to where I really don't like winter

What's the hardest thing you've ever had to tell someone? Telling my kids that Grandpa had died — still get a tear

Would you consider plastic surgery if someone else paid for it? Maybe, might need before too much longer just so I can see

Which actor would portray you in a movie about your life? The Clint Eastwood from the "Dirty Harry" days

Biggest pet peeve? Charities and governments that give away without educating — give a man a fish, feed him for a day, teach a man to fish, feed him for life.

What's your usual wake-up time in the morning? 6ish

What talent do you wish you had? Would like to be able to sing, my wife has that talent in the family.

Ever seen a ghost? Holy or otherwise?

What superhero power would you most like to have? Controlling the weather would be cool. I would do away with the global warming issue.

What was your favorite TV show when you were growing up? Ha, has to be the "Dukes of Hazard" — after all, last year, I was classified as a "good ole boy."

Favorite band or musical artist? Hootie and the Blowfish, Jethro Tull — both were great poets.

To keep the stars on the flag nice and even, which state should be traded for Puerto Rico? Let's get rid of California — don't like the way they seem to be able to control presidential elections.

What's your cell phone ringtone? Something called "medieval jaunt," don't know why

Favorite dessert? Really do like all kinds of cheesecake

Who's your best friend and why? Outside of my wife, it has to be Tommy Thystrup, climbing partner and trusted ally.

You are walking down the street on your way to work. There is a dog drowning in the canal on the side of the street. Your boss has told you if you are late one more time, you get fired. What do you do? Yes, save the dog — always seem to find work.

If you could go back in time and change one historic event, what would it be? Prevent the Civil War — a terrible event on our own soil, brother against brother

What's your favorite condiment? Cholula, awesome!

Do you have bumper stickers of any kind on your car? Not at this time — had one on my last truck that said "I love my wife," liked that one

If you could never hear the music of one musical artist ever again, which would it be? Barry Manilow

If you could create one rule that all society had to live by, what would it be? Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

How do you define success? Raise up and educate those close to you so they can surpass their own expectations.

Ever wondered by Kamikaze pilots wore helmets? Proof that even they had hope

Hamburger or pizza? Depends on the beer

Describe your life philosophy in six words or less: Help others to help themselves.
