FAMILY: Married two years ago to a wonderful man named Ralph. Between us we have 25 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

HOMETOWN: Mt. Airy, Md., but now Sanford

What are five most frequently-played songs on your iPod playlist? What iPod?

What is your favorite movie? My favorite movie of all time is "City of Angels" with Nicholas Cage.

What is your favorite book? I don't have a favorite book yet. I am an avid reader and am still searching for the favorite.

Is there a hobby you can't live without? Not really a hobby, but I love to collect stuff and make something out of nothing.

Is there an item or collectible you hold dear? I enjoy my antique furniture because of the individual love and craftsmanship that goes into each piece.

Where would someone be most likely to find you on a Saturday night? Working at JCP, my other job.

What was your dream job when you were a child? I always wanted to be an archaeologist until I discovered I don't like dirt or closed-in spaces.

What are some of your favorite things? My family, warm sunshine on my face, a cup of hot coffee and my husband by my side

What would be your last meal? Everything I could stuff into my mouth without getting sick

Who would be your ideal dinner guests?(Name three, living or dead) My three children and me just having a quiet evening together

What is something interesting most people don't know about you? I used to work for the FBI. I also taught for 28 years before I came to N.C.

Ideal vacation spot: Australia

Favorite professional sports team: I don't have one, much to the chagrin of my office partner.

If you were given $5,000 to donate to a non-profit organization, which would you pick? Autism — I have a grandson with autism and have watched him flourish with progress due to the programs available to him.

What's the worst injury you've ever had? When I fell and broke my heel.

Ever had a brush with celebrity? Does J. Edgar Hoover count?

What would you like to know about the future? Other than the fact that I have a job, surprise me

What's your favorite website? I am a Google person.

Would you go bungee jumping or skydiving? I will only say no because I am not allowed to say the other.

Do you have a tattoo? Not yet, but I am thinking about it.

Any fears or phobias? My biggest fear in life is to be needed by someone I love and not be able to help them.

Ever been outside the United States? Mexico and the Bahamas

Did you have a childhood nickname? Not one that they said to my face

Favorite kind of cookie? Anything chocolate

Favorite season? That is tough, I love spring because everything is awakening after a long sleep, and I love fall because Mother Earth is preparing to go to sleep.

What's the hardest thing you've ever had to tell someone? I had to tell my children that their father had been killed.

Would you consider plastic surgery if someone else paid for it? In a heartbeat

What's the most embarrassing experience you've ever had at work? Having someone walk into an apartment where the toilet was still in the tub

Which actor would portray you in a movie about your life? Goldie Hawn

Biggest pet peeve? Lack of honesty — we can deal with anything if you're just honest.

What's your usual wake-up time in the morning? My cat wakes me up at 5:30 a.m., but the alarm goes off at 5:55 a.m.

What talent do you wish you had? I wish I could play the piano. I had a cousin who played beautifully.

Ever seen a ghost? Yes, ask me and I will tell you.

What superhero power would you most like to have? I think I would like to fly, but I am afraid of heights.

What was your favorite TV show when you were growing up? The Monkees

Favorite band or musical artist? I love all genre of music and groups; music touches the soul.

To keep the stars on the flag nice and even, which state should be traded for Puerto Rico? We don't change the Stars and Stripes for anyone unless they want to join us in our great country.

Favorite dessert? Anything chocolate

Who's your best friend and why? My husband, Ralph, is my best friend. He loves me just because.

You are walking down the street on your way to work. There is a dog drowning in the canal on the side of the street. Your boss has told you if you are late one more time, you get fired. What do you do? I get fired!

If you could go back in time and change one historic event, what would it be? I would change the original sin. We would all be so much better off without it.

What's your favorite condiment? Salt, salt, salt

If you could never hear the music of one musical artist ever again, which would it be? I can't choose one, loss of any artist is one too many.

If you could create one rule that all society had to live by, what would it be? Be kind to one another.

How do you define success? Setting small goals and achieving them one at a time
