NAME: Ben Johnson

AGE: 26

FAMILY: Mom and dad who live locally, two brothers and an awesome girlfriend

POSITION: General manger at Spring Lane Cinemas

HOMETOWN: Beckley, W.Va.

What are five most frequently-played songs on your iPod playlist? I have no idea. I love the oldies, so I’m sure the songs would all be from the 50s, 60s or 70s.

What is your favorite movie? "Kill Bill" — that is, until I watched "Star Trek Into Darkness."

What is your favorite book? Not “The Great Gatsby.”

Is there a hobby you can't live without? Stargazing — I love outer space.

Is there an item or collectible you hold dear? My “Kill Bill” sword, autographed by David Carradine.

Where would someone be most likely to find you on a Saturday night? Working at the movies.

What was your dream job when you were a child? I wanted to be a bus driver, a cook and a custodian.

What are some of your favorite things? I love collecting toys, playing Nintendo, and drawing and painting.

What would be your last meal? A huge steak, tons of Chinese food and assorted junk food.

Who would be your ideal dinner guests? (Name three, living or dead) William Shatner, Christoph Waltz and Bill Nye the Science Guy

What is something interesting most people don't know about you? Most people don't know that I have my CDLs. My friend and I own two school buses, which we drive around town just for fun.

Ideal vacation spot: How about Vegas?

Favorite professional sports team: Pittsburgh Steelers

If you were given $5,000 to donate to a nonprofit organization, which would you pick? The Humane Society

What's the worst injury you've ever had? When I was still really young, my family was in a bad car accident. I had a mild concussion from that. Luckily, that's the worst.

Ever had a brush with celebrity? I'm not sure if it counts, but I was lucky enough to meet Pastor Joel Osteen a year or two ago. He’s a great speaker, very nice in person.

What would you like to know about the future? The winning lottery numbers for the jackpot

What's your favorite website? Stumbleupon.com

Would you go bungee jumping or skydiving? Definitely

Do you have a tattoo? I sure do! I have a huge tattoo of my family crest on my back.

Any fears or phobias? I’m scared of drowning, but deathly afraid of scorpions and jellyfish. I’d rather face a shark.

Ever been outside the United States? Nope

Did you have a childhood nickname? My family has always called me “Little Ben” because I was named after my dad and grandfather.

Favorite kind of cookie? Snickerdoodle

Favorite season? Fall

What's the hardest thing you've ever had to tell someone? A couple of years ago, my girlfriend and I were driving my mom’s brand-new car though South Carolina when we lost control and crashed — completely mutilating the vehicle. We walked away without a scratch, but we were stranded. I remember calling my mom and thinking, “How can I hide this?”

Would you consider plastic surgery if someone else paid for it? Sure

What's the most embarrassing experience you've ever had at work? Once we ran out of butter in our popcorn popper, causing the popcorn to burn and smoke to pour from the kettle. Trying to prevent setting off the fire alarms, we dumped the burnt kernels into a box, and I tried to run it outside. The little bit of butter that there was ran out of the box and onto the floor, causing me to fall face-first and sling all of the burning, smoking popcorn kernels all over the place in front of an entire lobby full of customers. Of course, the fire alarms still went off and we had to evacuate the building — all over a little burnt popcorn!

Which actor would portray you in a movie about your life? Definitely Steve Carell

Biggest pet peeve? I hate when you ask someone a simple question, and the simple answer becomes a long, drawn-out, repetitive story

What's your usual wake-up time in the morning? Noon, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I usually work late at the theater, and we usually open in the afternoons, so it works out great — best job ever.

What talent do you wish you had? One of my friends is very talented when it comes to music. He can pick up anything and play it. I've always been envious.

Ever seen a ghost? No, but I have seen “Ghost,” and that is a great movie.

What superhero power would you most like to have? I'd love to be able to fly, but I think the ability to read minds would be much more awesome.

What was your favorite TV show when you were growing up? I loved "Alf," "Mister Rogers," "Who's The Boss?" and "Ninja Turtles."

Favorite band or musical artist? Honestly, I have tons that I like, but I don't know that I have a favorite.

To keep the stars on the flag nice and even, which state should be traded for Puerto Rico? Texas — it’s the Lone Star State anyway.

What's your cell phone ringtone? The Old Spice Jingle.

Favorite dessert? Nothing beats a little good, old-fashioned ice cream.

Who's your best friend and why? I actually have three: My two childhood friends, Dwight Morgan and Matthew Gaines, who have been there for me for most of my life, and my amazing girlfriend, Samantha Phillips, who has put up with me for the past four years. Without any of the three, my life wouldn't be the same.

You are walking down the street on your way to work. There is a dog drowning in the canal on the side of the street. Your boss has told you if you are late one more time, you get fired. What do you do? Save the dog — no question. I love animals, so I'd do anything it'd take to help. Luckily, I'm the boss, and I wouldn't fire myself.

If you could go back in time and change one historic event, what would it be? I'd sabotage Sputnik so that the U.S. would have the first artificial satellite.

What's your favorite condiment? Ranch Dressing — it goes with everything.

Do you have bumper stickers of any kind on your car? I surely do not.

If you could never hear the music of one musical artist ever again, which would it be? Nickelback — It makes my ears hate life.

If you could create one rule that all society had to live by, what would it be? Such a great question, but I can't think of one I like.

How do you define success? J.J. Abrams — the man brings greatness to everything he touches.

Ever wondered why Kamikaze pilots wore helmets? Safety first!

Hamburger or pizza? Pizza

Describe your life philosophy in six words or less: Life is an unwritten story.
