What is your favorite movie? Fugitive with Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones, I can’t turn it off any time I see it on TV.

Where would someone be most likely to find you on a Saturday night? Out with my wife having a couple drinks with friends.

What was your dream job when you were a child? As a child, my father was a volunteer fireman and I would spend a lot of time at the firehouse and could not wait to grow up and be a firefighter like my father.

What would be your last meal? I would start off with a Philadelphia soft pretzel with mustard as my appetizer and finish the meal with a Philly Cheese Steak from Pat’s Steak’s in South Philly.

Ideal vacation spot: Lying on a hammock under a palm tree in the Caribbean.

Favorite professional sports team: Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Flyers.

If you were given $5,000 to donate to a non-profit organization, which would you pick? There are so many good no-profit organizations in the area, so I would have to split the $5,000 between the United Way of Lee County, The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina and the Elks National Foundation.

What's the worst injury you've ever had? When I played soccer in high school, I got hit in the eye with the soccer ball and caused a blood clot in my eye that required me to lay flat on my back for four weeks. As a 14 year old, I thought I was going to go out of my mind.

Would you go bungee jumping or skydiving? I have enjoyed parasailing several times in my life and have always wanted to try skydiving.

Ever been outside the United States? I have traveled out of the U.S. for both business and pleasure. For business, I have been to Canada, Germany, Amsterdam, Switzerland and England. For pleasure, I have enjoyed trips to Bahamas, Jamaica and Mexico.

Favorite kind of cookie? My mother’s homemade chocolate chip just out of the oven.

Favorite season? Spring is my favorite season. I enjoy starting of the day with the cool mornings and then the sun brings a nice warm day. That and all the trees and flowers blooming just bring a sense that everything is alive again.

What's your usual wake-up time in the morning? 6 a.m.

Favorite dessert? Warm apple pie with a scoop of real vanilla ice cream.

Who's your best friend and why? Bob Young — we grew up together and have remained good friends to this today.

If you could go back in time and change one historic event, what would it be? That one is easy; I would go back to early September 2001 and stop the plane crashes into the World Trade Center buildings.

Do you have bumper stickers of any kind on your car? No bumper sticker, but I did get a UNCG window decal when my daughter went to college.

Hamburger or pizza? Both are great, but if I had to choose it would be a big, thick, juicy medium rare hamburger.

Do you have a tattoo? No, I have never had the desire for one.

What was your favorite TV show when you were growing up? Now this is going back a little bit, the original Batman series.

How do you define success? To me success is having the time to spend with friends.

Would you consider plastic surgery if someone else paid for it? No, I am fine with how I look today, but I may have a different answer in 20 years.

Ever wondered why Kamikaze pilots wore helmets? That is a great question. Were they trying to protect themselves so they would be able to complete their mission or was it part of the uniform and they were just following protocol? It is not like we can ask one of them now.
