Nancy Findley artwork on display at Temple
During the current performance of “Forever Plaid” at the Temple Theatre, the Sanford Brush and Palette Club will feature the artwork of artist Nancy Findley. “Forever Plaid” will run Feb. 28-March 17 and Findley’s artwork will be on display in the stairway gallery leading to both entrances of the second floor balcony.
Nancy Findley discovered her love of art as a child growing up in Ohio. She pursued this interest at Ohio University and earned her BFA degree, teaching certificate and a Master's degree in Special Education. Utilizing her art background at school, church and home, Findley has been inspired by the teachers and fellow-artists in the Sandhills area. Her techniques focus on watercolors and Oriental brush painting, as well as in acrylic, fabric art and pastels. Her artwork can be viewed at home.windstream.net/nancyfindley. She is the proud mother of three, grandmother of four, and shares Nellie the cocker spaniel with Norm.
Following a tragic car accident, the singing quartet, The Plaids, are allowed to return to earth for one last concert. “Forever Plaid” showcases the greatest hits in four-part harmony from the 1950s. Sponsors for this performance are Pentair Water, Pool & Spa and WLHC Life 103.1.
