Lee County Community Foundation accepting grant applications
The board of directors of the Lee County Community Foundation is currently accepting grant requests for community projects funded from its community fund, according to Howard Bokhoven, board president. Funds are available for nonprofit organizations that serve general charitable needs in Lee County.
Applications are available at www.nccommunityfoundation.org (under grants and scholarships/community grant making) for online grant applications. The deadline for submitting applications is midnight April 30.
The Lee County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation. The community fund was established to help support local charitable needs through annual grants in 1996. In addition to Howard Bokhoven, board president, Lee County Community Foundation board members are Mikeal Basinger, Adam Beal, Wilson Cox, Oliver Crawley Jr., David Foushee, Ed Garrison, Doug Gay, Jan Hayes, Drew Lucas, Dargan Moore, Robert Nelson, John Quiggle, John Ramsperger, Linda Smith, Sharon Spenceand Charles Welborn.
