Power outages, no injuries reported during Thursday storm
Emergency and law enforcement agencies responded to dozens of calls during Thursday's brief storm squall.
At least four homes and two vehicles were damaged by the storms, according to Lee County Emergency Services Director Shane Seagroves. As of 6:45 p.m., there were 27 emergency phone calls.
There were no reported injuries and 15,000 Lee County residents without power.
Latoya French, of Hillcrest Drive, was inside her home when she heard a tree snap and begin to splinter.
It fell on her Mercury Grand Marquis, totaling the car, she said. No one was injured, but she said she was disappointed by the vehicle damage.
"God will find a way," she said.
