7 arrested on drug charges

Over the past few months, local police have conducted an undercover operation — which resulted in seven arrests on drug-related charges.

The arrests are as follows, as reported by the Lillington Police Department:

• Morris Demetrice McKoy was charged with sell/deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle/dweling/place for controlled substances, and possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana. Secured bond was set at $30,000.

• Marcus Antonius Patterson was charged with possession of cocaine. Secured bond was set at $7,500.

• Ricky Williams was charged with sell/deliver schedule IV controlled substance and maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substances. Secured bond was set at $30,000.

• Theresa Hill Jackson was charged with sell/deliver schedule IV controlled substances and maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substances. Secured bond was set at $30,000.

• Zachery James Poovey was charged with trafficking mephedrone, sell/deliver mephedrone and possession of drug paraphernalia. Secured bond was set at $100,000.

• Robert Bass was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Secured bond was set at $25,000.

• Christopher Campbell was charged with sell/deliver cocaine and maintaining a vehicle/dwell/place for controlled substances. Secured bond was set at $30,000.

In addition, Demetrius Cates was the subject of warrants obtained for possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
