The Moore County Agricultural Fair is opening its doors for the 67th time this Tuesday.

The fair will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. (3 p.m. Saturday) until 11 p.m. at the fairgrounds, located at 3699 U.S. 15-501 Highway, Carthage.

“I am very excited,” said Fair Manager Robert Gordon, who oversees the fair and the Moore County Fair Association. “It’s going to be a great week and we are suppose to have really nice weather.”

The fair will feature craft and food vendors, rides, a roaming clown, agricultural exhibits, wrestling and gospel music. Parking is $2 and admission is $5 or free for children under the age of 3.

“We want people to realize that Moore County is diversified,” Gordon said. “We have the business aspect, but we also have a lot of agricultural products being grown throughout our county.”

Local students are overseeing the fair’s barn that will feature agricultural products and educational items, he said.

“We just hope you’ll come out and see us,” Gordon said.
