Welcome to the new SanfordHerald.com website

Dec. 04, 2012 @ 02:28 PM

We’re excited to be launching a new version of The Herald’s website. We hope you’ll find it easier to navigate and more up-to-date than our previous site, and in time you’ll find even more local content than we had before. The new website gives us a tool to present more stories, photographs and information to our readers, plus the ability to add lots of additional content in the coming weeks and months – including more audio and video content, an expanded community calendar, more reader polls and information about our community. In addition, on the right side of the page, you’ll find The Herald’s Twitter feed (@sanfordherald), where you can follow breaking news and information from our newsroom staff, plus a link to our Facebook page.

Keep in mind this new site is a work in progress. We’re still completing the changeover from our old site and we know there will be a few kinks to work out (including our archives, which aren’t fully loaded yet). And while our e-edition (which gives you a complete .pdf version of the newspaper) is operational, our current mobile site is being eliminated while a new mobile site is developed. For the time being, our paywall has been taken down, so everyone has free access to all the content on the site.

Let me know what you think of the new website and what suggestions you have. You can e-mail me at hight@sanfordherald.com.

Thanks for checking it out, and keep reading The Sanford Herald…
