NATALIE CADDELL

CARTHAGE — Natalie Caddell, 46, of Carthage died Wednesday (11/27/2013) at Manor Care in Pinehurst.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary’s Holiness Church in Carthage. The family received friends on Saturday from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include her sister Cheryl Degraffenreid and brother Charles Goins.

VIRGINIA LEE CAMPBELL STANFORD
DUNN — Virginia Lee Campbell Stanford died Nov. 16.

She was the daughter of Marion Lee Newman and Arthur Carlyle Campbell. Stanford is survived by her four children and their respective spouses: Lois Stanford (Rick Hendricks) of Las Cruces, NM, Larry Stanford (Linda) of Livermore, Calif., Sheila Stanford Nawrocki (David) of Fort Collins, Colo. and Morna Stanford Gersho (Brian) of Danville, Calif. and six grandchildren.

She was born in Florence, SC, on December 30, 1926 but spent her childhood in Raleigh, North Carolina. She graduated from Meredith College in 1948 with a BA in Music and went on to earn her Master’s in Music from Syracuse University, in New York.

She married Raney Baynes Stanford in 1951, and they lived in West Lafayette, Indiana. In 1978, she came to live at Senior Citizen’s Village in Dunn where for 35 years she remained active.

A family burial of her ashes by O’Quinn Peebles Funeral Home will be held at the Buies Creek Cemetery on noon Saturday.

Following that, a celebration of Virginia’s life will be held at Memorial Baptist Church in Buies Creek, North Carolina at 1 p.m. Saturday.

JIMMIE HENNINGS

CAMERON — Jimmie Hennings, of Cameron, died Thursday, November 28, 2013, at Mobile Infirmary Hospital in Mobile, Ala.

Mr. Hennings was born in Moore County, on Dec. 21, 1943, to the late Wesley Sanford Hennings and Lydia Cameron Hennings. He was the owner of Hennings Electric Company. Mr. Hennings served as a deacon at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church and a volunteer Fire Chief at one time.

Surviving relatives include his wife Patricia Marks Hennings of the home; daughters, Kim Thompson and husband Jeff and Paula Finchum and husband Neal both of Cameron; brothers, Herman Hennings and wife Droxie of Vass and Robert Hennings of Carthage; four grandchildren, Ashley Lynn and husband Clark, Megan Thompson, Jeffrey Thompson and Logan Finchum.

The family will receive friends Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, from 6 to 8PM at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, 3PM at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church with Rev. Brian Teeter presiding.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

ANNETTE SWANN DAVIS

SANFORD — Annette Swann Davis, 47, of Sanford passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at Olivia Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis worked at Coty as a Shipping Coordinator and served as a first responder with Coty for more than 20 years. She previously served with the Benhaven EMS for five years. Annette was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dorothy Cox Correa, Wharton Swann and Minnie Swann.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her son, Brandon Mitchell Davis of the home; her parents, Phyllis Cox Swann and William Wharton Swann of Sanford; her brother, Richard Swann of Sanford; special aunt, Diane McNeill of Sanford; a niece Brianna, her dog Buster, four uncles and many cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday at Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home.

GARY LEWIS HOLT

SANFORD — Gary Lewis Holt, 84, of Sanford, died Saturday (11/30/2013) at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington.

Holt was born in Harnett County, on Sept. 16, 1929, to the late Lewis Gray Holt and Docia Graham Holt. He was the former co-owner of D & H Hardware in Sanford for many years. Holt was a member at Swann Station Baptist Church and served as a deacon. He served his country during the Korean War.

Surviving relatives include his wife Donna Scott Holt of the home; a daughter Lisa Holt Faulk and husband Phillip of Sanford; sisters, Ruby Holt Godwin and Mary Holt Dickens and husband Max both of Sanford; a sister-in-law, Marian C. Holt of Murrells Inlet, SC; three grandchildren Ryan Faulk and wife Jessica, Morgan Faulk Luettger and husband Christopher and Aaron Faulk.

The family will receive friends fro 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Swann Station Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Blackmon and Rev. Jerry Parsons presiding.

Burial will follow in the Cameron Grove Cemetery.
