CAMERON — Funeral service for Gary Edward Keily Sr., 76, of Cameron, who died Saturday (1/25/14), was conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Hillmon Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne O’Quinn and Pastor Austin Reason officiating.

Pianist was Britton Altman. Soloist was Glenda Randolph.

Active pallbearers were Bill Hayes, Ralph Mangum, Tony Rebello, John Steber, Don Stinson and Joe Womack. Honorary pallbearer was Norfleet Mangum.

Arrangements were by Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.



SANFORD — Carole Lee Swiggard, 79, of Sanford died Wednesday (1/29/14) at Pinelake Health and Rehab in Carthage.

She was born in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of the late Clark Eugene McGinnis and Myrtle Palmer McGinnis.

Memorial service will be 7 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sanford with Bishop Stephen Athens officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at the church.

Survivors include her daughter, Terri Rodriguez and husband Agustin, of Sanford; two sons, Harry Francis Swiggard, and Scott Brian Swiggard and wife Karen, of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

SANFORD — Sylvia Jeane Brown, 53, of Sanford died Tuesday (1/28/14) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.

She was born in Lee County, daughter of Madge Haire McBryde and the late Angus Burton Brown. She was preceded in death by her father. She was a graduate of Sanford Central High School and an employee of Performance Fibers.

Graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Broadway Town Cemetery with Rev. Robbie Gibson officiating.

Surviving are her parents, James "Mickey" McBryde and Madge Haire McBryde of Sanford; brothers Joseph Burton Brown of Sanford and Guy McBryde and wife Michelle of Durham; sister Samantha Jean McBryde of Greensboro; stepgrandmother Marjorie J. Bridges of Sanford; and a Godson, Rodney Jordan McCrimmon.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
