SANFORD — Mrs. Nancy Conrad Moss, age 65, of Sanford, a loving wife and mother, died Thursday, December 19, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Moore County, N.C. on October 23, 1948 to the late Leonard Gwyn Conrad and Ruby Jane Lovin Conrad. Mrs. Moss was from a family of 5 boys and 5 girls with two sisters surviving her. She was a teacher's assistant at Greenwood School; Cub Scout Leader and Cub Scout Master for Pack 984 and Den 2 at Grace Chapel Church. She was a member of Ives Memorial Baptist Church in Pinebluff, N.C.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jerry Lee Moss, Sr.; three sons, Jerry L. Moss, Jr. and wife Mandy; Kenneth C. Moss and wife Meg; Joseph F. Moss and wife Stacy all of Sanford; two sisters, Phyllis Stephsons of Las Vegas, Nevada and Sandra Stavley of Florida; grandchildren, Garren Moss, Christian Moss, Elizabeth Moss, Heather Moss, James Moss, Nathanael Moss, Cooper Moss and Tucker Moss; and sisters-in-law, Mrs. Jerry Conrad of Sanford and Mrs. Mary Lou Moss Baker of Charlotte.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and a graveside service will be Sunday, December 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at Lee Memory Gardens with Dr. Gary McCollough officiating.

ROBBINS — Rebecca Alice Callicutt Hussey, 80, of 464 Wagonwheel Road, died Thursday (12/19/13) at FirstHealth Hospice House at Pinehurst.

Funeral service will be conducted today at 3 p.m. at Putnam Friends Church with the Rev. Billy Joe Brady and Kenneth Emmons officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

She was a Moore County native. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. D.L. “John D” Hussey.

She is survived by sons, Joel Hussey of Robbins and Taft Hussey of Seagrove; daughters, Brenda Phillips of Eagle Springs, Ginger Cockman of Robbins and Marcie Hunt of Asheboro; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held today at the church from 1:30 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.

SANFORD — Funeral service for Sharina Ann Hope Delgado Merriman, 26, who died Friday (12/13/13), was conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Matt Garrett. Burial followed at 3 p.m. Thursday at Wake Memorial Gardens in Cary.

During the service, recorded music was played.

Pallbearers were Jose Delgado, Dory Merriman, Gene Merriman, William Merriman, Christian Miranda and Juan Miranda.

LILLINGTON — Alpha Wheeler Adcock Jr., 68, died Thursday (12/19/13) at UNC Chapel Hill.

Funeral service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the chapel at Adcock Funeral Home followed by burial at Harnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the funeral.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alpha Wheeler Adcock.

He is survived by his mother, Catherine Adcock; brother, Cameron Adcock and wife Joann; and sisters: Ann Collins and husband Jerry and Elaine Quick and husband Randy.

SANFORD — Memorial services for Nannie Lou McFarland Dalrymple, of Broadway, who died Monday (12/16/13), were held Friday at 2 p.m. at Salem Presbyterian Church by Rev. Tyler Williams and Rev. Norman Whitney.

During the service the congregation sang, and the Salem Church Choir sang. Pianist was Larry Tipton.

CHARLOTTE — Service for Kenneth Bernard Jefferson, 54, will be held Monday (12/23/12) at 1 p.m. at Little Rock AME Zion Church, 401 N. McDowell St,, Charlotte.

Visitation will take place at noon. After the service, internment will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Charlotte.
