ROBERT LEWIS GRIFFIN
CAMERON — Funeral service for Robert Lewis “Bobby” Griffin, 82, of Cameron, who died Wednesday (7/9/14), was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home Chapel with son Rev. Michael Griffin officiating. Burial followed at Shallow Well Cemetery.
During the service, the pianist was Doris Hall. A duet was shared by Glenn and Doris Hall. Eulogies were shared at the graveside.
Pallbearers were Phil Allen, Ken Foushee, Anthony Elkins, Don Schweitzer, Bruce Watson and James Griffin. Honorary pallbearers were employees of Sanford Contractors.

NORMAN TULL BEAL
SANFORD — Norman Tull Beal, 82, of Sanford died Friday (7/11/14) at his residence.
He was the son of the late Garland Forrest Beal and Maggie Oldham Beal. He was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Beal, and a sister, Betty Kroninger. He was retired from the U.S. Navy as captain and retired as horticulturist for the City of Newport News, Virginia.
He is survived by his sisters, Bobbie Stone of Carthage, and Marilyn Sehen of Sanford; and a brother, Roger Beal, and wife Sharon of Sanford.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Joel Cameron presiding. The visitation will be held same day from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will meet at the home of Marilyn Sehen, 2830 Montclair Circle, or at 620 Harkey Road in Sanford. The burial will follow at Carbonton United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors.
GENE PATRICK KELLY
SANFORD — Gene Patrick Kelly, 48, of Sanford, died Sunday (7/6/14) at Central Carolina Hospital.
He was born in Lee County on April 30, 1966. He was an installer for Miller Heating and Air Conditioning Company.
Surviving relatives include his parents, Ernest Clifford Kelly and Eleonore Hartmann Kelly, both of Sanford; a son, Eric Patrick Kelly of Sanford; a daughter, Erika Krystine Kelly of Sanford; a brother, Michael Ernest Kelly of Wilmington; sisters, Susan Kelly Brown of Broadway and Annette Kelly Fawcett of Sanford; paternal grandmother, Lucy Belle Kelly of Sanford; two grandchildren and six nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Flat Springs Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Tuesday with Rev. Gary McCollough presiding. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

SANFORD — A celebration of life was held for Paul Sheets on Friday (7/11/14).
Family and friends gathered together to share memories at the home of Mr. Sheets in a private service.
He is survived by his children: Brandon Sheets of Sanford; James Sheets of Los Angeles; Tonya Camp of Indiana; Tonny Upchurch of Sanford; Russell Upchurch of Fuquay-Varina; Karla Upchurch of Dunn; 11 grandchildren two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were by Knotts Funeral Home.
TALMADGE THEO OLDHAM
SANFORD — Funeral services for Talmadge Theo Oldham, 87, of Sanford, who died Wednesday (7/9/14), were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Carbonton United Methodist Church by Rev. Danny Berrier. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
During the service, the congregation sang and the pianist was Leigh Denny.
Pallbearers were Ray Binkley, Billy Joe Binkley, Tommy Binkley, Gerald Binkley, John Wilkins, Johnny Marshburn and Seth Gilliland.
