STEPHEN ALLEN ROBINSON

CAMERON — Stephen Allen Robinson, 70, of Cameron, died Thursday (7/10/14) at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

He was born in Middletown, Conn., on Sept. 21, 1943, to Clifford Huntington Robinson Sr. and Dorothy Kelsey Robinson. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one sister and one brother.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Marie Robinson; five children; one sister; one brother; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

JOSEPH DEAN DARBY

SOUTHERN PINES — Joseph Dean Darby, 69, of Southern Pines, died Monday (7/14/14) at St Joseph of the Pines in Southern Pines.

A private burial will be held at Hilltop Cemetery in Southern Pines.

He was born in Maryland on Dec. 14, 1944, to Walter and Alice Ellen Darby. He was a long time resident of Southern Pines and an internationally known horseman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills, P.O. Box 1761, Southern Pines, N.C. 28388.

FRED JOHN MURPHY

CAMERON — Funeral service for Fred John Murphy, 85, of Cameron, who died Saturday (7/12/14), was held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Brown officiating. Burial followed at Grace Chapel Cemetery.

Guitarist was Pastor Wayne Greene and soloist was Joyce Stone. Recorded music was also played.

Pallbearers were David Cameron, Wayne Cameron, Jimmy Greene, Charles Cox, Dac Cameron, Stephen Bowlin and Bryan Marks.

Arrangements were by Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.

EULA KLASS EAST

GOLDSTON — Eula Klass East, 67, of Goldston died Monday (7/14/14) at Central Carolina Hospital.

She was born in Chatham County on Jan. 21, 1947, the daughter of Charlie Bright Klass Sr. and Maggie Belle (Foushee) Klass. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Charlie B. Klass Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest (Junior) East of Siler City; son, David East of Goldston; and a sister, Ann K. Garner of Goldston.

The family will receive friends today from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home in Siler City, and at other times at the home of Ann Garner, 714 S. Church St., Goldston.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Fall Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Bennett with the Rev. Darrell Garner officiating.

MARY FRANCES MALLOY ALLEN

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Mary Frances Allen, 73, of 129 Melanie Drive, Lawrenceville, Ga., died Sunday (7/13/14) at her residence.

Funeral service will be conducted Monday, July 21, in Boston, Mass.

Memorial service will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Poplar Springs AME Church.

SFC EDWIN CADY SOULE III

SANFORD — SFC Edwin Cady Soule III, 70, of 3329 Hawkins Ave., died Thursday (7/10/14) at his residence.

He was born Nov. 5, 1943, in Plymouth County, Mass., to the late Mabel Iveson and Edwin C. Soule. He was a Vietnam veteran, receiving numerous metals including Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Purple Heart Air Metal.

He is survived by three sons, Edwin C. Soule, Dennis P. Soule and Jeremy Waltman; two daughters, Lori Ann Soule and Leah Grace Soule-Johnston; one brother, Dennis Soule; three grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
