INA G. HUNTER

ASHEBORO - Ina G. Hunter, 64, made her final road trip with her “signature wave” on Wednesday, September 11, 2013.

She was born June 28, 1949 in Sanford, N.C. to William Godfrey of Sanford and the late Earline Stone. Her love for travel took her to 48 states, sporting a personalized license plate which read: ‘Ina Go !’. She loved the sound of a slot machine and even more loved to yell “BINGO”.

She passed away at the Moses H. Cone Hospital in Greensboro, N.C. She lived in Randleman, N.C. and is survived by her husband of 32 years, Tommy Hunter; two sons: Tracey Maynor of Dallas, TX and Chris Maynor of Randleman; two daughters: Delisa Beaulieu of Biscoe, N.C. and Kelley Hunter of Shreveport, LA and stepdaughter, Misty King of Indiana. She is also survived by five sisters and two brothers. She had eight grandkids: four grandsons and four granddaughters, Kellam Maynor, Morgan Beaulieu, Tracey Beaulieu, Amber Maynor, Austin Maynor, Kristen Chappell, Collin Douglas and Bobby Douglas.

Services will be held at Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro, N.C. on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the New Hope Bereavement Center, 137 South Park St., Asheboro to celebrate Ina’s life from 12:00-3:00 p.m.

MARY BELLE MYERS JORDAN

SANFORD — Mary Belle Myers Jordan, 75, died Wednesday (9/11/13) at her residence.

She was born in Davidson County on March 1, 1938, the daughter of Clayton and Ruth (Boggs) Myers. She had been employed by the PTA Thrift Shop in Siler City as manager. She was a member of Oakley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jordan; her parents; a brother, Clay Myers; and a great-grandson.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra Vandervort and husband Richard of Youngsville and Gloria Clare of Goldston; two sons, Roger Causey of Winston-Salem and Tony Causey and wife Denise of Sanford; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m. at Oakley Baptist Church in Siler City. The funeral will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at Oakley Baptist Church with the Rev. Heath Faircloth and the Rev. Eddie Ellison officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

NELLIE LEWIS PALMER

MONCURE — Nellie Lewis Palmer, 97, died Tuesday (9/10/13) at The Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro.

She was born on July 24, 1916, in Fulton County, Ga., to the late Ether Marvin Lewis and Hannah Ann Hartnett Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oren A. Palmer, and by a grandson. She worked for a number of years at Belks before retiring.

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Ellen Palmer of Moncure.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Moncure United Methodist Church with the Rev. Houston Blaire officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

DOLFUS BODENHAMER

SANFORD — Dolfus “Junior” Bodenhamer, 70, died Friday (9/13/13).

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Buffalo Cemetery.

He was born in Stokes County, a son of the late Charlie Bodenhamer and Myrtle Edwards Bodenhamer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linsy T. Bodenhamer.

He is survived by a son, Lynn Bodenhamer and wife Michelle of Sanford; sister, Mae Rene Thomas of Sanford; two brothers, Mack Bodenhamer of Sanford and Bud Bodenhamer and wife Janice of Swansboro; two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home, but the family will be at 2003 Broadway Road.

GOLDSTON — Lester (Bubba) Dark, 95, died Tuesday (9/10/13) at The Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro.

Funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Roberts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Goldston. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m.

He is survived by a sister, Annie Hall.

EMMA LOUISE PELHAM

CAMERON — Emma Louise Pelham, 89, died Thursday (9/12/13) at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Cameron.

A viewing will be held Monday from 1 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by sisters, Ester McKinnon and Bessie McKinnon.

CARRIE MUSE PASCHAL

CARTHAGE — Carrie “Mackie” Muse Paschal, 92, of 2211 Cool Springs Road, died Thursday (9/12/13) at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fair Promise United Methodist Church in Glendon conducted by the Rev. Tony Baurichter. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

A native of Moore County, she was a daughter of the late Murdock Lee and Willie Phillips Muse. She was a graduate of Hardbarger Business College in Raleigh and worked as a payroll clerk for many years at Carthage Fabrics and later worked for Heins Telephone Company in Sanford. She was a member of Fair Promise United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian “Carr” Paschal; a son, Julian Paschal Jr.; brother, Samuel Muse; and a sister, Elizabeth Ruth.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Bowman and Martha McNeill, both of Carthage; sister, Kate Kaylor of Costa Mesa, Calif.; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Methodist Home for Children, 1041 Washington St, Raleigh, N.C. 27605, or to Fair Promise UMC, 567 River Road, Robbins, N.C. 27325.

The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. today and other times at the residence. There will also be a time of fellowship after the service in the church fellowship hall.
