A visitation will be conducted today from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

GOLDSTON — Berta Ray Fox, 75, of 643 Roberts Chapel Church Road, died Monday (6/10/13) at Genesis Healthcare in Siler City.
She is survived by her husband, James Fox; three sons, Calvin Fox (Patty) of Goldston, and Patrick Fox and James Fox, both of Sanford; one daughter, Phyllis Alston of Sanford; a brother, Earl Thompson (Dorothy) of Sanford; one sister, Margaret Hanner of Siler City; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Roberts Chapel Baptist Church in Goldston. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

DARROW BYRD SHERMAN
LILLINGTON — Darrow Byrd Sherman, 86, died Wednesday (6/12/13) at Rex Rehab and Nursing Center of Apex.
She was a native of Harnett County and a member of Bunnlevel Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.B. Sherman.
Funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday at Bunnlevel Presbyterian Church in Bunnlevel with the Rev. JoAnne Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Saturday at the church.
She is survived by two daughters, Carmen Mathieu and husband Terry, and Marsha Lee and husband Michael, all of Lillington; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

REBECCA SHOFFNER MCDANIEL
SILER CITY — Rebecca Shoffner McDaniel, 91, died Thursday (6/13/13) at Siler City Center.
She was born in Randolph County on Oct. 7, 1921, the daughter of Sidney and Betty S. Shoffner. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer McDaniel.
She is survived by one daughter, Pam Myrick of Haw River; two sons, Robert L. "Butch" McDaniel and James Bruce McDaniel and wife Becky, all of Siler City; half sister, Sarah Ellis of Mt. Holly; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home in Siler City.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Siler City. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
