MARION LOUISE McHUGH

November 28, 1925 - May 8, 2013

KANSAS CITY, MO — Marion Louise McHugh, 87, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Villa St. Francis in Olathe, Kansas.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at St. John Vianney Catholic Parish in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Burial will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 23 at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Halder, Wisconsin. Marion was born November 28, 1925 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Roy and Victoria (Lauer) Schubel. She married Edwin Thomas McHugh on April 26, 1947 in West Allis, Wisconsin. She was a devoted Catholic.

Marion was a loving wife and a caring mother. She always said “If you don't have something good to say about someone, don't say it.” That is a good reflection of how she always looked for the best in everyone. She will be deeply missed.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and her loving husband, Edwin, on July 23, 2012.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas McHugh (Joan), Milwaukee, WI and Michael McHugh (Denise), Overland Park, KS; one daughter, Kathy Faulks (Greg), Spring Valley, Ohio; sister, Barbara Hendrickson, Waukesha, WI; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

MARY IDA WALTERS BALLOU

CAMERON — Mary Ida Walters Ballou, 88, died Tuesday (5/7/13) at FirstHealth Hospice House of Pinehurst.

A graveside service will be held today at 3 p.m. at Cypress Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Chaplain Twyla Nelson officiating.

She was born in Raeford on March 14, 1925, to John Harrison and Mary Smith Walters. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Shirley Wood and Annette Carol; her parents, John Harrison and Mary Smith Walters; two sisters, Maxine Sherill and Betty Wharton; one brother, Vern Walters; one grandson and one great-granddaughter.

She is survived by two daughters, Frances Hudson and husband Ray of Lake Tillery and Linda O'Neal of Cameron; two sisters, Peggy Edwards of Fayetteville and Jenny Venable of Ahoskie; one brother, Bobby Walters of South Carolina; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Cox Memorial Funeral Home today from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

SANFORD — Funeral Mass for Lucille McVeigh Potts, 85, of Raleigh, who died Wednesday (5/1/13), was held Thursday at 12 noon at St. Stephen The First Martyr Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Ippolito, M.S. officiating. Burial followed at Buffalo Cemetery.

Cantor was Tillie Earp. Organist was Evie Dooley. The congregation also sang.

Pallbearers were Tim Potts, Bob Potts and Brian McConville.

Arrangements were by Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.
