BROADWAY — Eula M. Rollins, 89, of Broadway, died Wednesday (5/1/13) in Sacramento, Calif.

Funeral service was held Saturday (5/11/13) at 12 p.m. at Mount

Zion Freewill Baptist Church in Broadway. Burial followed in the Cameron Grove AME Zion Church Cemetery, Broadway, NC.

Elder Thomas McGilvary was pastor and officiant, and the church choir provided music. Pallbearers were friends and family.

  JOSEPH FLOYD DOUGLAS

BROADWAY — Funeral service for Joseph Floyd Douglas, 76, who died Tuesday (5/7/13) was conducted Friday (5/10/13), at 3 p.m. at Cool Springs United Methodist Church in Broadway with Pastor Ramon E. Atkins presiding. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Pianist was Gerline Cagle. Soloist was Shelby Smith. The  congregation also sang. Pallbearers were Larry Roberts, Trey Marion, Thomas Key, Kyle Marion, Alex Boyd and Josh Key.

Arrangements were by Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.

PITTSBORO — Ernest Snipes, 87, of 268 Firetower Rd., Pittsboro, died Saturday (5/11/13) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.

BEAR CREEK — George W. Minter, 70, of 633 Rosser Road, Bear Creek, died Friday (5/10/13) at his residence.

SABRA ELKINS DAURITY

GOLDSTON — Sabra Elkins Daurity, 93, of Raleigh and formerly of Goldston, died Friday, May 10, 2013 at Rex Health Care in Raleigh.

Mrs. Daurity was born Sept. 2, 1919, the daughter of Colon and Flossie (Barber) Elkins. She was a member of Goldston Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was the very definition of a truly graceful lady filled with sweetness, kindness, caring and love for all, especially God, family and many, many friends. To know Sabra was to truly love her and she will be missed more than words can express. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Daurity and her parents.

She is survived by one daughter: Diane Wallace of Raleigh, N.C.; two sons: Grant Daurity of North Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Jerome Daurity of Knightdale, N.C.; two sisters: Helen Simpson of Ashland, Ky. and Doris Mallard of Durham, N.C.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. A graveside service will be held Monday, May 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Goldston Cemetery, Goldston, N.C., with Rev. David Hicks and Rev. Mitch Watson officiating.
