YVONNIE REICH GREENWOOD
SANFORD — Yvonnie Reich Greenwood of Sanford died Monday, May 13, 2013 at Central Carolina Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Greenwood was born in Elkin, N.C., daughter of the late Montgomery and Addie Jackson Reich. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel A. Greenwood and a daughter, Barbara G. Morrow, and a son-in-law, Luke Miller. Mrs. Greenwood retired, after 45 years, from The Sanford Herald as a delivery person.
Mrs. Greenwood is survived by a daughter, Joyce Miller of Sanford; four grandchildren, Stacie Grae Miller, Gregory Miller, Linsey Pinson and Pat Pinson; one great-grandson, Wyatt G. Miller.

NANCY LOUISE CLARK RIDENHOUR
SANFORD — Nancy Louise Clark Ridenhour, 70, of Sanford, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Barbecue Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Alexander “Sandy” Williams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Ridenhour was a native of Harnett County and a daughter of the late John H. and Zaila Godfrey Clark Sr. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Leslie “Harold” Ridenhour Sr., and two sisters, Dolly Mae Clark Matthews and Jessie Clark Perry and a brother, John H. Clark Jr. Mrs. Ridenhour was a member of Barbecue Presbyterian Church, loved her family, cooking, travel and especially shopping. Nancy worked with Eaton Corp. for 22 years and later retired from Static Control.
Mrs. Ridenhour is survived by her son, Leslie H. “Les” Ridenhour and wife Pam of Sanford; two brothers, Jimmy Lee Clark of Sanford and Billy Ray Clark of Hope Mills; four grandchildren, Tiffany R. Burnette and husband James, Whitney R. Brinkley and husband Chris, Trey Ridenhour and fiancé Brittany Phillips, and Kyleigh Ridenhour, all of Sanford; six great-grandchildren, Kenley Bradford, Lawson Ridenhour, Dawson Burnette, Austyn Brinkley, Bentley Ridenhour, and Kesley Burnette; and a special friend, Peggy Thomas.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home and other times at 2812 Barbecue Church Road.

BERNICE PEARL MARSH BRIGGS
SANFORD — Mrs. Bernice Pearl Marsh Briggs, age 94, of Sanford, N.C., died Monday, May 13, 2013, at Carolina House of Pinehurst.
Mrs. Briggs was born on Jan. 28, 1919, in Surry County, N.C. to the late Robert Sidney Marsh and Nannie Anne Marsh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Clarence A. Marsh.
She was a graduate of Greenwood High School and Sanford Business College. Mrs. Briggs was a life-long member of Ephesus Baptist Church, served as a deacon, and was active in WMU and Bible study. Mrs. Briggs worked at the Pentagon during WWII and as an accountant with Civil Service at Fort Bragg until her retirement. She received a diploma from U.S. Army Finance School in 1969 and various other awards from the Army. After her retirement, she was an active member of NARFE and provided more than thirteen years of service through the Seniors' Health Insurance Information Program. She received the Governor's Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service in 2001.
She is survived by two daughters, Cathy B. Briggs of High Point, N.C., and Suzanne B. Kelly of Richmond, Virginia, and one grandchild, Christopher Kelly of Richmond, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 14, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home. Her funeral will be Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Ephesus Baptist Church with Dr. David Boroughs and the Rev. Robert Morrison officiating. Burial wlll follow at Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery.

BEULAH O’QUINN BOGGS
SANFORD — Beulah Mae O’Quinn Boggs, 74, died Sunday (5/12/13) at her home.
She was born in Harnett County, daughter of the late Charles Robert O’Quinn and Pauline Willie Knight O’Quinn. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Levi Boggs; sons, Ronald Lee Boggs and Jerry Lynn Boggs; one grandson; and sister, Mamie O’Quinn. She was a member of the Juniper Springs Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir, was a member of the WMU and for many years was in charge of the church nursery.
Funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at Juniper Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. John Hackney and the Rev. Michael Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Hancock and husband Danny of Goldston, Paula Eubanks and Debbie Bunnell and husband Aubrey, all of Sanford, Brenda Boggs of Broadway, and Patsy Bullard and husband Chris of Fayetteville; son, Tommy Boggs and wife Angie of Sanford; brothers, John O’Quinn and Daniel O’Quinn, both of Sanford; 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Smith Funeral Home in Broadway and other times at the family home.

BEAR CREEK — George Winford Minter, 70, of 633 Rosser Road, died Friday (5/10/13) at his home.
He is survived by his sons, George Jeffrey Minter and Fredrick Alston; daughter, Christy Lynna’ Minter; two brothers, Jasper Minter and Joseph Minter; sister, Joyce Edwards; six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Knotts Funeral Home in Pittsboro. Burial will follow at Minter Cemetery at Old Taylor's Chapel.
