SANFORD — Paige Dodson Davis, 70, of Sanford, went to be with her Lord on May 13, 2014 at her home.
She was born on May 24, 1943 in Sandy Ridge, North Carolina to the late Joel Webb Dodson and Gloria Sayre Price Lazar.
In addition to her parents, Paige was predeceased by one brother, Ricky Colin Dodson.
Paige had many passions in life. She enjoyed art, decorating, cooking and gardening. She was a dedicated member of Buffalo Presbyterian Church. Paige's biggest joy was spending her time with her husband and family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Reed Davis; one daughter, Anne Haley and her husband Michael Byrant of Milton, NC; one son, Quinton Haley and his wife Kim of Mayodan, NC; three brothers, Pastor Joel Craig Dodson and his wife Patti of Sanford, Ronald Brent Dodson and his wife Sissy of Mocksville, NC, and Joel Heath Dodson and his wife Stacy of Daytona Beach, FL; one sister, Tammy Dodson Nichols and her husband Brian of Onalaska, WI; six grandchildren, Marah Litchford Michalski and her husband Matt, Mary Hannah Haley, Delaney Haley, Rachel Early, Parson Rose Haley and Darcie Haley; great-granddaughter, Maia Michalski; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald Edward Davis, and Barbara Spencer and her husband Bill; Also survived by special friends, Demarious Tuttle, Gay Welch, Tom and Elke Anderson.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Miller-Boles Funeral Home in Sanford.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Buffalo Presbyterian Church with burial following in Buffalo Cemetery.

RANDLEMAN — Mr. Glenn Stewart, 66, of Randleman, NC died Monday, May 12, 2014 at his residence.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Stewart Family Cemetery on Ellis Stewart Lane in Cameron.
Glenn proudly served his country in the United States Army with the Identification Branch of the US Army Mortuary in Saigon, Vietnam. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters, Ellis Stewart of Cameron, Lillian Bailey of Franklinville, and Reba Caudle of Greensboro.
Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife, Betty Stewart; daughter, Ginger Stewart Gleason and husband, Scot; granddaughter, Chloe Gleason; brothers, Robert and Darrell Stewart; and sister, Gladys McLeod.

SANFORD — Austin Phillip Akridge, infant son of Tony and Elizabeth Phillips Akridge, died Monday, May 12, at First Health of the Carolinas.
Truly a tiny gift of God, he was surrounded by love during his brief life here and now he will spend eternity in heaven with an even greater love.
He is survived by his parents, Tony and Elizabeth Akridge; a brother, Justin Akridge; grandparents, Paul and Tonda Phillips of Sanford, Rob and Anita Thompson of Lemon Springs, Rhonda and Mike Marsh of Carthage and Tony and Gwyn Akridge of Sanford.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 16, at 6:30 p.m. at Swann Station Baptist Church.

SANFORD — Beverly Samuel Grippie, 74, formerly of Sanford, died Sunday (5/11/14) at Camden Rehabilitation Center in Greensboro.
Funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 12 noon at the St. James Home of Fresh Start, 4705 North Church St., Greensboro. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the church prior to the service.

ANNIE MORRIS PHILLIPS
GULF — Annie Morris Phillips, 100, of Gulf, died Tuesday (5/13/14) at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on Dec. 20, 1913, in Chatham County, to the late Matthew H. Morris and Kate Causey Morris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Lacy Phillips; a son, Jimmie L. Phillips; and a daughter, Jayne P. Brown. She was a member of Gulf Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. at Gulf Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bruce Benton and the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church following the funeral and burial. At other times, the family will be at the home of Mrs. Pebble Kidd, 1206 Lee's Chapel Road, Sanford.

SANFORD — Funeral service for James Frank Tomlinson, 77, of 2117 Pilson Road, who died Thursday (5/8/14), was conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Nebo F.W.B. Church with Elder Kelvin Porter officiating. Burial was at the church cemetery.
Soloists were Delois Fox and Delois McLean.
Pallbearers were deacons and trustees. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Department.
