SANFORD — Kenneth M. Lyndon, age 65, of Sanford died on Monday, December 10, 2012 at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.

Kenneth was born on April 19, 1947 in Randolph County, NC to the late Leroy Lyndon and Ruth Calicutt Lyndon. He was employed for over 40 years with the Compass Group, USA as a Regional Operations Manager. He enjoyed golf and spending time with his family. His grandchildren knew him as the best “Papaw”.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Lyndon of Sanford, NC; a daughter, Jessica Perkins of Sanford, NC; four sons: Mike Lyndon and wife Judith of Virginia Beach, VA; Tommy Lyndon of Columbia, SC; Craig Lyndon of Greensboro, NC; and Carlisle Perkins of Sanford, NC; a sister, Lee Ann Fowler of Randleman, NC; two brothers: Eddie Lyndon and Randy Lyndon both of Asheboro, NC; eight grandchildren: Anna, Tori, Ashleigh, Samantha, Ayden, Lexi, Caleb, and Grayson; and a great-granddaughter, Rylee.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Lee Memory Gardens in Sanford, NC.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Miller-Boles Funeral Home in Sanford.

SANFORD — Funeral service for Harold Franklin “Frankie” Gilmore, 64, of Sanford, who died Thursday, Dec. 6, was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Davis officiating. Burial followed at Moncure Methodist Church Cemetery.

Soloist were Gilmore’s nieces, Bobbie Jo Gilmore and Donna Faye Beal. Recorded music was played at the graveside.

Pallbearers were Preston Maines, Jonathan Gilmore, Johnny Lee Gilmore, Kevin Jones, Bradley Proctor and Jimmy Spradlin.

The family also received friends following the graveside service at Lee’s Chapel Christian Church, 1135 Lee’s Chapel Road, Sanford.

Arrangements were by Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.


SANFORD — Funeral service for May Ola Gordon Kerr, 83, of Sanford, who died Saturday, Dec, 8, was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Donald Burns and Rev. Ira Smith officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery.

Pianist was Alice Clayton, organist was Donna Phillips and soloist was Eddie Gunter. The Asbury United Methodist Church choir sang as well as the congregation.

Pallbearers were David Bullard, Chad Gordon, Roger Bright, Gordon Bright, Jimmy Gordon and Donny Kay.
