JOHN EDWARDS MARSH
CAMERON — John Edwards Marsh, age 65, of Cameron died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.
He was born in Lee County, NC to the late Oliver Lee Marsh, Sr. He was self-employed as an Electrical Contractor.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Wade Marsh of the home; son, Rodney Wayne Marsh of Cameron, NC; daughter, Marlene Marsh Dean and husband Kevin of Sanford, NC; mother, Kathleen Edwards Deaton of Robbins, NC; brothers, Oliver L. Marsh Jr. and Richard G. Marsh, both of Cameron, NC; sister, Judith Marsh Johnson and husband Wendell of Sanford; and grandchildren, Tommy Dean and Cody Marsh; and a family pet “Ralph”.
The funeral will be at Cameron United Methodist Church on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. by the Rev. Dave Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Cameron Town Cemetery.
Family will receive friends one hour prior (3 p.m. to 4 p.m.) to the church service at 4:00 p.m.

PHYLLIS BUCHANAN YEASEL
LEWISTOWN, OHIO — Phyllis Buchanan Yeasel, 88, of Lewistown, OH, passed away early Saturday morning, December 22, 2012 at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine, OH.
She was born on August 17, 1924 in Pleasantville, OH to the Lester & Flo McCreary Buchanan. On December 11, 1953, she married Charles Dean Yeasel in Richmond, IN and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony Haynes; her sister, Zoe Buchanan; brother, Franklin Buchanan; sister-in-law, Lucy Buchanan; and a son-in-law, Charles Heppard.
Phyllis is survived by two daughters, Helen Yeasel Heppard of Mechanicsburg, OH and Donna (Charles) Yeasel Haynes of Lewistown; six grandchildren, Monte (Dawn) Heppard, Tara (Frank) Venrick, Shawn Heppard, William (Janet) Haynes, Jacqueline (Mikel) Shoffner, and Heidi (David) Arthur; eleven great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson; a niece, Lucia Pierce; and a nephew, Christopher Buchanan.
Phyllis was a graduate of Pleasantville High School. She was the former owner of Yeasel Inc. and Industrial Farm Tank, both in Lewistown. She was a member of St. Francis by the Sea Church in Kenai, AK and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, formerly in Bellefontaine. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years, most recently in Sanford, NC. She loved traveling, especially to North Carolina in the winter and to Alaska in the summer.
Per her wishes she was cremated and a memorial picnic will be held at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her name to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.

MAURY — Funeral service for Louis Ephriam Wilson, 34, who died Wednesday (12/19/12), was held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Gary Hatch officiating.
The opening prayer was by Jeremy Aycock. Special memories were given by his friend, Lori Costanza; his mother, Sylvia Hight; his father, Larry Wilson; and by his friend, Stephan Hearn. The closing prayer was by his father, Larry Wilson.
Pianist was Gayle Hatch. Michelle Aycock led the congregation in two congregational hymns. Soloist was Karen Betman.
Burial and dedication of the grave followed at Shallow Well Cemetery with Bishop Gary Hatch officiating.

DARRELL ARTRY BYERLY
SANFORD — Funeral service for Darrell Artry Byerly, who died Thursday (12/20/12), was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, with military honors, at Buffalo Cemetery by the Rev. Ronnie Byrd.
During the service, the Rev. Byrd was the soloist.

BROADWAY — Funeral service for Robenia Kelly, 93, who died Friday (12/21/12), was conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.H. Daniels officiating. Burial followed at the Broadway Town Cemetery.
During the service, Gene McNeill sang and Bobby Barbour sang and played the guitar.
Pallbearers were Chris Whitfield, Eugene Kelly, Brandon Kelly, Justin Whitfield, Bobby Riley and Eddy Ray Thomas.

PHYLLIS ANN MARIE MOORE YARBOROUGH BAREFOOT
LILLINGTON — Funeral service for Phyllis Ann Marie Moore Yarborough Barefoot, 51, who died Wednesday (12/19/12), was conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Holly Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery.
During the service, Lynne Greene was the soloist and the congregation sang. Cynthia Spivey was the pianist.
Palbearers were David Yarborough, Austin Simpson, Jeremy Simpson, Connie Marion, Tim Marion and Bobby Patterson.

RANDY VINSON WIMBERLY
MONCURE — Randy Vinson Wimberly, 59, died Sunday (12/23/12) at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
He was born in Lee County, son of Sarah Faye Wimberly Smith and the late Ben Wimberly. He was preceded in death by his father; daughter, Dana Wimberly; and granddaughter, Mackenzie Wimberly.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Elam Christian Church with the Rev. Gary Moore officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Sarah Faye Wimberly Smith (Bill) of Moncure; wife, Kay Worrell Wimberly; daughter, Charity Michelle Wimberly of Fuquay-Varina; son, Andy Vinson Wimberly (Crystal) of Cameron; sisters, Theresa W. Parker (Michael) of Moncure and LuAnn W. Turlington (Rodney) of Lillington; brother, Danny Wimberly (Marie) of Sanford; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., one hour prior to the funeral service at the New Elam Christian Church.

RANDALL KIRK CHILDRESS
SANFORD — Randall Kirk Childress, 45, died Saturday (12/22/12).
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
He was born in Hampton, Va., a son of the late Vernie Ray Childress and Rita Talley Childress. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Childress.
He is survived by a son, Charles Childress of Sanford; two grandchildren; and brother, Brian Keith Childress of Sanford.

LILLINGTON — Hazel Warren, 88, died Sunday (12/23/12) at WakeMed in Raleigh.
A native of Harnett County, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde Warren and Grady Matthews; and a son, Ronald Lynn Warren. She was a member of Neills Creek Baptist Church in Angier.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Neills Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at O’Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home and other times at the home of Donald and Debra Warren Sr. of Fuquay-Varina.
She is survived by a son, Donald Warren Sr. and wife Debra of Fuquay-Varina; two grandsons; one great-grandson; and three sisters, Christine Batten of Four Oaks, and Bobbie Wilkins and Jean Smith, both of Angier.
