DAVIS BRYANT COLLINS
SANFORD — Davis Bryant Collins, 88, of Sanford, NC, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Central Carolina Hospital.
He was born in Harnett County on Oct. 1, 1924, to the late Dee Collins and Flora C. Collins. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sylvia Dale Collins; a grandson, Jason L. Collins; his stepmother and several brothers and sisters. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, was the longtime operator of Woodland Avenue Texaco and was a retired correctional officer. Mr. Collins was a loyal member of Edgewood Presbyterian Church, serving in many capacities. He was also a member of the Masonic Order.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Sarah Frances Currin Collins of the home; sons, Larry Collins and wife Anne of Sanford, and Donnie Collins and wife Carol of Sanford; a daughter, Penny Grim and husband Charlie of Lillington; a brother, Thurman Collins and wife Clara of Lillington; a sister, Betty Pauley and husband Bill of Lillington; brother-in-law, Tim Currin and wife Libby of Lillington; four grandchildren, Tricia Taylor and Neal, Jan Peloquin and Jason, Daniel Bristow and Maria and Nick Bristow; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, 1:30 PM to 3 PM at Edgewood Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. The funeral will be conducted at 3 PM also at Edgewood Presbyterian Church with Dr. Bill Hayes and Mr. Jody McNeill presiding. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.

SANFORD — Rodney Jennings, 51, died Monday (12/31/12) at Carolina HealthCare System in Charlotte. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Pugh & Smith Funeral Home of Carthage.
CAMERON — Kevin Bradley, 52, died Thursday (12/27/12) at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Pugh & Smith Funeral Home. The family will receive friends today from 7 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Carthage.
He is survived by a brother, Ronald Bradley (Lezita), and several aunts and uncles.

ADRIAN LUTHER BENEDICT
SANFORD — Adrian Luther Benedict died Monday (12/31/12) at N.C. State Veterans Home in Fayetteville.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Mamers.
He was born in Rochester, N.Y., son of the late Harland E. Benedict and Gladys Cavender Benedict. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Lions Club and helped with the Bread Basket.
He is survived by his wife, Magalene Page Benedict; daughter, Jane Patterson of Sanford; one grandson; one brother, Harland Benedict and wife Nancy of Florida; a sister, Arlene Wilson of Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. in the parlor at First Baptist Church one hour prior to the service.

SANFORD — Jancie Spivey Floyd, 61, died Sunday (12/30/12).
A memorial service will be held Saturday between 2 and 4 p.m. at her home in Sanford.
She is survived by her son, Aaron Stewart and wife Terri of Fuquay Varina; daughter, Alyson Estridge and husband Chad of Sanford; mother, Doris Spivey of Sanford; brother, Ronnie Spivey and wife Christine of Newport; sister, Pam Hutchins and husband Donnie of Sanford; and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to UNC Hospice or the Amercian Cancer Society.

REBECCA LYNETTE LUTTERLOH FOXX
SILER CITY — Rebecca Lynette Lutterloh Foxx of Chapel Hill died Wednesday (12/26/12) at Duke Medical Center in Durham.
Funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. at Corinth AME Zion Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Evon Lutterloh of Savannah, Ga., and Shawn Lutterloh of the home and several siblings.

JOHNNIE CLINTON SCOTT
SILER CITY — Johnnie Clinton Scott, 89, died Tuesday (1/1/13) at the home of his daughter.
He was born in Chatham County on Nov. 28, 1923, the son of Johnnie Herbert and Annie (Cox) Scott. He was retired from Gold Kist after 22 years of service. He was a member of the Siler City Chapel and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie Gaines Scott; brothers Billy, Clarence and Ernest Scott; and a sister, Tessie Dinkins.
He is survived by one daughter, Janie Scott Riggsbee, and husband Mark of Bonlee; one son, Mark Scott and wife Janet of Bennett; two brothers, Lester Scott and Russell Scott, both of Bear Creek; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home. Other times, the family will be at the home of the daughter, 223 Edwards Hill Road, Siler City.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the Siler City Chapel in Siler City with Dr. Tommy Steele and the Rev. Darrell Williams officiating.
Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Park with military rites by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
