BEULAH STONE HINSHAW
SILER CITY — Beulah Stone Hinshaw, 92, of Tom Stevens Road, died Thursday (12/5/13) at Alamance Regional Hospital in Burlington.
She was born in Chatham County on Nov. 16, 1921, the daughter of Willie Harrison and Elizabeth (Campbell) Stone. She was a graduate of the Burlington Business School. She was a member of Plainfield Friends Meeting, where she was a life member of the USFW, served as Clerk of the Meeting and Sunday School Teacher. She was a life member of the Silk Hope Home Demonstration Club.
She is survived by one son, Noble W. Hinshaw and wife Kay; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; sister, Turlie Lievers of Golconda, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Plainfield Friends Meeting in Siler City with Kevin Rollins and the Rev. Greg Burriss officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

PITTSBORO — Betty McRae, 83, of 8969 Cinnabay Drive, Charlotte, formerly of Pittsboro, died Saturday (11/30/13) at her residence.
She is survived by one brother, Loyce "LC" Goines of Newark, N.J.; one sister, Ethel M. Milliken of Pittsboro; one daughter, Miriam E. Wooten of Charlotte; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon today at Mitchell Chapel AME Zion Church in Pittsboro. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

SANFORD — Graveside service for Ruby Bernice Goodwin Thomas, 84, who died Tuesday (12/3/13), was held Friday at 2 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church in Broadway with Pastor Tom Welborn officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery.
Pastor Welborn and Mrs. Welborn sang two selections at the graveside.
Pallbearers were R.J. Murchison, Devin Perrell, David Perrell, Scott McNeill, Brian Thomas and Adam Hawes.

SANFORD — James C. Reives, 79, of 2201 Dalrymple St., died Tuesday (12/3/13) at Central Carolina Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marian; one daughter, Marlene; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Bobby Reives (Margie); three sisters, Bettie Lanier (Frederick), Cathryn Cornelius (Samuel) and Addie Reives, all of Sanford; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Jonesboro Chapel AME Zion Church. Burial will be at Minter Cemetery.
