ROY M. WALLACE
CAMERON — Roy M. Wallace, age 86, of Cameron, died Tuesday (November 12, 2013) at Peak Resources – Pinelake in Carthage.
A native of Dobson, N.C., Roy was a son of the late Sidney H. and Essie M. Wallace. He was a retired Staff Sergeant from the U.S. Army and served with the 536th Engineering Field Maintenance Company during the Korean Conflict. Following his service in the Army, he worked for Civil Service as a Chase Photographer at Pope Air Force Base.
Roy was a member of John Boyd VFW Post 7318. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of the Scottish Rite and Shriners, and Past Master of Sanford Lodge 151 and Southern Pines Lodge 484.
He served for many years as the Republican Registrar for the Town of Cameron and as Chief of the Cameron Volunteer Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Della Wallace; sisters, Gladys Ring, Vera Campbell and Ruby Hicks; and brother, Glenn Wallace.
He is survived by a son, Leonard Wooten of Cameron; daughters, Pat Greene of Cameron, Tammi Blake and husband Dale of Raeford, and Tina Lewis and husband David of Sanford; sister, Lena Rackley of Sanford; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.

JAMES EDWARD WILLIAMS
RICHMOND, Va. — James Edward Williams died Saturday (11/9/13) in the Hospice Center in Richmond.
He was born in February 1941 in Lee County to Alton Junior “Bill” Williams and Irene Crosby Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert “Bobby” Alton Williams. He served in the Navy during Vietnam with honor and received the Bronze Star among other awards. He was a life member with the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Post #5631. He was also a life member of the American Legion Post #382.
He is survived by a son, Robert “Bobby” Alton Williams.
Services by Cremation Society of Virginia.
DAVID JEFFERSON MCLEAN
SANFORD — David Jefferson McLean, 62, of 94 Tempting Church Road, died Saturday (11/9/13) at his residence.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Joyce McLean; son, Carlos D. McNeill of Sanford; one daughter, Carla D. McNeill of Greensboro; mother, Effie Lyles of Richmond, Calif.; brothers, Stantly McLean of Richmond, Calif., Miles Cox (Roblyn) of McLoansville, and Jeffrey C. McLean (Kalisha) of Sanford; sisters, Jessie L. McEachin of Norcross, Ga., Ellen R. Johnson (Jeffrey) of Capital Heights, Md., Erma Williams of Lillington, and Paula D. McLean and Wanda Beasley (Timothy), all of Sanford; 11 grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Works For Christ.
