PINEHURST — Adelaide A. Perrone, formerly of Bergenfield, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2013 at St. Joseph of the Pines Nursing Home in Southern Pines, North Carolina.

Adelaide was born May 15, 1928, in New York City where she lived before retiring to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 1988 and ultimately to Pinehurst, North Carolina in 2002.

Adelaide was the spouse of Carmine, who pre-deceased her in 2010 after 64 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by a brother George in 2005.

She is survived by a brother, William; sisters, Katherine, Margaret and Kay; her daughter, Cathy; son, Dominick; grandchildren, John Godkin, Jeffrey Godkin and Jennifer Godkin Lewis; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Laura, William, Paul, Madeline and James.

The Funeral Mass was offered on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, 9:30 A.M. at St. Therese R.C. Church, Cresskill.

Interment followed at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, New Jersey.  Visitation was held Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Frech Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont, New Jersey.

CARTHAGE — Rosa Lee Hubbard, 84, died Saturday (3/30/13) at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Olive AME Zion Church in Carthage. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. There will be a viewing from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at the church prior to the service.

She is survived by her children, Jacqueline Sewell (Vernon), Wayne Hubbard (Evangeline), Lawrence Hubbard and Jamarr Hubbard; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Irving Caddell, and one sister, Gladys Pendergraph.

CARTHAGE — Debra K. Cummings, 53, died Saturday (3/30/13) at First Health Moore Regional in Pinehurst.

A visitation was held Tuesday at Cox Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.

Funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stoney Locklear and the Rev. David Hinson officiating. Burial will follow immediately after at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery, Vass.

She was born in Southern Pines on Aug. 20, 1959, to Mary Ann McDougald Lowe. She was a member of Turning Point Worship Center.

She is survived by her husband, Mark William Cummings; her mother, Mary Ann Lowe; three sons, Marty W. Cummings and wife Ashley of Cameron, Scottie W. Cummings and wife Mary of Robbins, Ronald J. Cummings and wife Teresa of Carthage; one brother, Carl Gallimore and wife Cindy of Cameron; and six grandchildren.
