NORMAN CECIL CALCUTT
SANFORD — Norman Cecil Calcutt, 71, died Thursday (4/4/13) at Duke Hospital.
He was born on Jan. 3, 1942, to the late Jesse Harding Calcutt and Ruth Gray Calcutt.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Gales Calcutt; a son, Cecil J. Calcutt; a daughter, Marie Calcutt Miller and husband Eric; a brother, Ted Calcutt; sister, Carol Calcutt, all of Sanford; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Shallow Well Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Wood officiating.

MARY LANIER DOWD
BROADWAY — Funeral service for Mary Lanier Dowd, 83, who died Sunday (3/31/13), was conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Garland Smith officiating. Burial followed at the Moore Union Christian Church Cemetery.
During the service, taped music selections were played.
Pallbearers were Ben Perez, Ambrocio Perez, Joseph Brown, Allen Merritt, Filimon Torres, Omar Torres, Patrick Perez and Tony Sloan Jr.
Arrangements were by Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.

OXENHILL, Md. — Brenda McKeithen Fox, of 1359 Southview Drive, died Wednesday (4/3/13) at University Hospital in Baltimore, Md. Arrangements are pending with LHorton Community Funeral Home.
SANFORD — Corinna Fredericks, of 3088 Buffalo Lakes Road, died Friday (4/5/13) at Central Carolina Hospital. Arrangements are pending with LHorton Community Funeral Home.
MILLIE YOW GADDY
SANFORD — Funeral service for Millie Yow Gaddy, 62, who died Tuesday (4/2/13), was held Friday at 2 p.m. at Center United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Humphreys and the Rev. Royce Baker officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery.
Jamie Gaddy gave a eulogy. The poem “She” written by Robi Yamada was read by Cindy Sutton.
Pianist was Melody White-Humphreys. Soloist was Claudia Pace. The congregation also sang.
Pallbearers were Poly Cohen, Scott Carpenter, Marvin Ross, Ben Cameron, Terry Ward and Van Crawford.
Arrangements were by Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.
