JAMES C. BOONE
PITTSBORO — James C. Boone, 88, of Pittsboro, NC, died Saturday (4/6/2013) at his home.
James was born in Chatham County on Feb. 26, 1925 to the late Jarvis and Mozelle Boone.
He served his country in WWII as a B-29 pilot in the Pacific and was awarded a Bronze Star and an Air Medal. James spent his remaining working years as a building contractor and farmer.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margie Seymour Boone; daughters, Betty Griffin and husband Gene, of Sanford, Jo Ann Thomas and husband Eddie of Pittsboro; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Pittsboro, from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013. A funeral service will be held at Hanks Chapel United Church of Christ in Pittsboro at 11 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

SILER CITY — James A. Paige died Wednesday (4/3/2013) at his home, 232 Ervin Headen Road, Siler City.
Funeral service for Paige is 1 p.m. Monday at Lambert Chapel Baptist Church and burial in the church cemetery.
Survivors are his children Saravette, Brandy, Debra, Quiana, Susie, James D. "Butch" Rome, James and Coby; sisters Helen Dorsey and Jean Durham; brother William "Bill" Paige; caregiver Tate and special friend, Ann.

SANFORD — Helen Washington, 71, of 1791 Lower Moncure Road, Sanford, died Saturday (4/6/2013).

DONNA BETHUNE MURRAY
BUNNLEVEL — Donna Bethune Murray, 60, of Bunnlevel died Friday (4/5/2013) at her home.
She was born in Harnett County , the daughter of William "Bud" Martin Bethune and Hilda McKee Bethune. Murray was preceded in death by her mother.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Friendship Baptist Church in Bunnlevel with the Rev. Paul Fowler and the Rev. Dan Deaton officiating. Burial will follow in Bunnlevel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home in Lillington.
She is survived by her husband, Larry S. Murray of the home; 2 sons, Toby Beamon and wife Samantha of Clayton, Joseph Beamon of Bunnlevel; grandson, Josiah Beamon; father, William “Bud” Bethune of Bunnlevel and sister, Sharon Dawson and husband Donald of Fayetteville.

VIRGINIA DICKENS HUNTER
BROADWAY — Funeral service for Virginia Dickens Hunter, 87, of Broadway, who died April 2, 2013, was held at 3 p.m. Friday at Baptist Chapel Church with Pastor Alex Smith officiating. Burial followed at the Broadway Town Cemetery.
Pianist was Cynthia Abercrombie. Music leader was Mark Cauthen. Soloist was Mark Cauthen. The congregation also sang.
Pallbearers were Sammy McNeill, Bobby Adams, Alvin Dickens, Ed Honeycutt, Rufus Honeycutt, and Tillman Howard.
