JANE LOY FIELDS
GREENSBORO — Mrs. Jane Loy Fields, 81, a resident of Greensboro, passed away Wednesday morning, June 25, 2014 at the Hospice Home of High Point.
Mrs. Fields was born July 21, 1932 in Guilford County, the daughter of Alfred Monroe and Hannah Hodgin Loy. A lifelong resident of Greensboro, Jane was an Accountant with her own practice for many years. She was an Enrolled Agent with the IRS and an active member of the North Carolina Society of Accountants. She was a lifetime member of St. John's United Methodist Church and sang in the choir.
She was married to Jack Lewis Fields who preceded her in death on June 23, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Erwin Loy, Sr.
Surviving are her daughters, Patty Fields Cates and husband Rick of Jamestown, Cindy Fields Quiggle and husband John of Sanford; five grandchildren, Ricky Cates, Jack Quiggle, Claire Quiggle, Caroline Cates and Gracie Cates; and several nieces and nephews.
A Service to Celebrate Jane's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's United Methodist Church, 1304 Merritt Dr., Greensboro, NC 27407, conducted by Reverend Mike Collins and Pastor Steve Roberts. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jane's memory to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr., High Point, NC 27262.

CALVIN E. VUNCANNON
ROBBINS — Calvin E. Vuncannon, 56, of Robbins died Wednesday (6/25/14) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Browns Chapel Christian Church with the Rev. Jeff Karnes and the Rev. Michael Parenti.
A native of Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Bill and Janice Brookshire Vuncannon and a graduate of West Montgomery High School. He previously worked as a self employed plumber and as a Code Enforcement Officer with Moore County. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Joe Vuncannon.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Terra Ritter Vuncannon; son, Jonathan Vuncannon of the home; and sisters, Joyce Talbert of Troy and Betty Ann Brown and husband Denny of Biscoe.
The family will receive friends at Kennedy Funeral Home today from 6 to 8 p.m. and other times at the home.

CARTHAGE — William Marks Jr., 55, of Durham, formerly of Aberdeen, died Sunday (6/22/14) at his residence.
Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Aberdeen Elementary School Auditorium. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen.
He is survived by his children, Antonio Sloan, Terrence Marks and De'Andra Marks; father, William Marks Sr.; brothers, Michael Marks, Marlin Hill, Ronald Hill, Tally Stevens, Eric Gates, Carlos Campbell and Davonte Campbell; and sisters, Deborah Mormon, Cynthia Marks, Anita Marks, Karen Hill and Karen Hundley.

GEORGE RALPH RIVES JR.
GOLDSTON — Funeral service for George Ralph Rives Jr., 71, who died Saturday (6/21/14), was held at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke United Church of Christ in Goldston with the Rev. Drury Underwood and the Rev. Helen Glover officiating. Burial was at the church cemetery.
The Destiny’s COGOP Choir sang. Soloist was Minister Chris Dunn.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
