CARTHAGE — William Mack, 72, died Monday (6/17/13) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Pugh & Smith Funeral Home in Carthage.


MONCURE — Funeral service for Thompson “Tommy” Gregory Little Jr., 81, who died Thursday (6/13/13) at Central Carolina Hospital, was conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. at Moncure United Methodist Church with the Rev. Houston V. Blair Jr. officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Masonic Rites.

Pianist was Eileen Cotton and vocalists were Eileen Cotton and Angela Partin.

Pallbearers were Lyle Hogue, Caleb Little, Jacob Little, Grant Miller, David Nance and Eddie Nance.

Arrangements were by Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.


SILER CITY — Eva Moody Bare, 91, died Saturday (6/15/13) at Siler City Center in Siler City.

She was born Oct. 21, 1921 in Chatham County, the daughter of Murk and Cora (Dunn) Moody. She was retired from Robbins & Ghant and a member of Plainfield Friends Meeting and the Sunshine Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Bare; infant son, Johnny Bare; two sisters and one brother.

She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte B. Allsup of Pittsboro and Rejina B. Maness of Highfalls; two sons, William T. Bare of Siler City and Henry W. Bare of Holly Springs; one sister, Lucille Moody of Bear Creek; two brothers, Tom Moody of Bear Creek and Earle Moody of Garner; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home of a son, William Bare, 652 Johnny Lindley Road, Siler City.

A graveside service will be held today at 2 p.m. at Plainfield Friends Meeting Cemetery with Larry W. McEntire officiating.

PITTSBORO — Janice Joyce Coggins, of 641 Taylor Chapel Church Road, died Saturday (6/15/13). Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Knotts Funeral Home in Pittsboro.


CAMERON — Graveside service for Dayton Steadman Holder, 81, who died Friday (6/14/13), was held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Gourd Springs Baptist Church in Spring Lake with Pastor Gary Ashley and Curtis Holder officiating. A eulogy was given by his wife, Brenda.

Soloist at the graveside was Pastor Gary Ashley.

SANFORD — Minnie Feinstein, 98, died Sunday (6/16/13).

Memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Rogers Memorial Chapel with the family greeting friends following the service.

She was born in Columbia, S.C., a daughter of the late Lewis and Ida Feinstein. For many years she lived with her sister Celia Swartz and her family while working in Salisbury. In the early 1990s, she moved to Sanford to be with her niece, Sara “Sissy” Cohen.

She is survived by her brother, Harry Feinstein and wife Jean of LaJolla, Calif.; her nieces and nephews; and many special caregivers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one’s choice.

SEAGROVE — Pearl Marley Buie, 71, died Sunday (6/16/13) at her home.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Bill Cooper, the Rev. Mike Holyfield and the Rev. Bradley Ritter. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m.

A native of Moore County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Nepsie Cockman Marley. She worked for many years at Montgomery Hosiery Mill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Teddy Buie.

She is survived by sons, Stevie Buie and Vernie Buie, both of Seagrove; daughter, Jeanie Dunmyer of Seagrove; sisters, Martha Love of Ramsuer, Frances Standley of Biscoe and Prilla Brown of Seagrove; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
