LEONARD CRONER KEITH
SANFORD — Mr. Leonard Croner Keith, 71, of the Deep River Community, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Central Carolina Hospital.
He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Nov. 26, 1941, to the late Leonard Clifton Keith and Francis B. Wooddell Keith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie Keith; and stepmother, Voncille Keith.
Leonard was born in Pennsylvania but raised in West Virginia and South Carolina. He moved to North Carolina in 1972. He was a retired supervisor of Production Control and Warehouse with Allied Signal after 28 years of service. He was a member of Flat Springs Baptist Church, where he served in the Baptist Men and he began the Ronald McDonald House mission at the church. He was a member of the W.C. Harward/James Bridges Sunday School class. Leonard was an avid hunter and fisherman and his passion was cooking and golfing. Leonard served our country in the United States Army, serving in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Annette Bisping Keith; two sons, Lenny Keith and wife Nancy of Statesville and Shannon Keith and wife Jenny of Greenville, N.C.; a daughter, Brook Wade and husband Bobby of Deep River; a brother, Larry Keith and wife Alexis of Aiken, SC; two sisters, Loretta Boyd and husband Hugh of Florida and Cathy Temple and husband Scotty of Aiken, S.C.; eight grandchildren, Larry and wife Heather, Luke, Samantha, Hunter, Nicholas, Jordan, Addison and Brody; and two great-grandchildren, Landon and Riley.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the fellowship hall of Flat Springs Baptist Church and other times at the family home, 151 Womble Creek Road, Sanford. A memorial service with full military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Flat Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Gary McCollough officiating.

VIOLA ELIZABETH JACOBS LEE
MONCURE — Viola E. Lee, 94, of 1029 Gum Springs Road, died Sunday (4/28/13) at home.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Almarie Jacobs of Sanford; two daughters, Francine Parker of Pittsboro and Elizabeth (Kenneth) Alston of Moncure; two sons, Wallace (Delynda) Lee of Washington, D.C., and Curtis Lee of the home; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Moncure. Burial will follow at Bryant Memorial Cemetery.

LARRY MAURICE HAMILTON
SANFORD — Larry Maurice Hamilton, 63, died Tuesday (4/30/13) at Central Carolina Hospital.
He was born on Sept. 30, 1949, in Wilson to the late Guy and Julia Hamilton.
He is survived by his two daughters, Katie Swan Hamilton and Eliza King Hamilton; one sister, Janet Maybry and her husband John; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Saturday from 1 until 2 p.m. at Miller-Boles Funeral Home. A service will follow at 2 p.m. at Miller-Boles Funeral Home. Interment will be private.

CAROL FOSTER ALLRED
SOUTHERN PINES — Carol Foster Allred, 79, died Monday (4/29/13).
She was born July 26, 1933, to the late Charlie Franklin and Lannie Howell Foster of Vass. She retired in 1999 from First Savings Bank of Moore County. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Glenn F. Foster; sister, Ruth F. Frye; and her husband, W. Lewis Frye.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Vass United Methodist Church with the Rev. Phillip Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Grove Cemetery in Vass.
She is survived by two brothers, Lewis F. Foster and his wife Edith B. Foster, and Dennis R. Foster; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Betty) H. Foster.

SANFORD — John Curtis McKinney, 86, of 1012 Calvary Church Road, died Saturday (4/27/13) at Central Carolina Hospital.
He was the son of the late Curtis and Goldie Leaks McKinney. He was preceded in death by his parents and one child, Ingrid.
Funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at C.E. Willie Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
He is survived by four children, Brigette of New York, Myra of Edgemoor, S.C., Katrina of Charlotte and Johnny of Florida; and a host of other relatives and friends.

SANFORD — Oscar Ray Thomas, 72, of 547 Osgood Road, died Monday (4/29/13) at Central Carolina Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jerlene Toomer-Thomas; his children, Sherry Thomas of Sanford, Raynard Thomas (Tonya) of Burlington, Sheneeta Thomas-Womack (Lynn) of Sanford and Beyunka Thomas of the home; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Cora Toomer of Brown Hill, Delois Thomas of Moncure, and Ann Alston of Pittsboro; four brothers-in-law, Hubert Toomer, Dewitt Alston, Ricky McLean and Tyron Brooks; three sisters-in-law, Melissa Mclean, Agnes Brooks and Marion Barnes, and a host of other relatives and friends.
