SANFORD — Brenda Lee Ingram, 72, of Sanford passed away on May 6, 2014.
She was born on July 20, 1941 in Moore County to the late Harry and Rebecca (Dorris) Laubscher.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, J. Robert Ingram, III and one brother, William Harrison Laubscher.
Brenda was an active member of the community. She enjoyed volunteering both at the Temple Theatre and the Enrichment Center. She was a lifelong Presbyterian and a current member at First Presbyterian Church in Sanford.
She is survived by aunts, Annie Lee McRae and Dera McRae; uncle, Max Edwards; nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles and Mary Lynn Ingram, Boyd and Mary Wain Ellison and Clay Ingram. She is also survived by her special family friends, Mark and Sharon Thomas, Katelyn and Bayleigh; Dave and Karen Carter, Jordan, Madison and Jackson.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 9th at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Sanford.

PITTSBORO — Jean Bryan, 81, died early Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.
She was born on December 26, 1932 in Orangeburg, SC, daughter of the late Pressley Boyleston and Myrtle Pooser. She met and married Clinton Ellwood Bryan, Jr. They were together over 54 years until his death in 2007. Jean spent much of her life helping people by assisting with taxes, cooking, or simply mowing the grass, she was always willing to help someone in need. She was a member of Pittsboro UMC.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Jean was preceded in death by two brothers.
She is survived by her son, Clinton Ellwood Bryan, III (Jane) of Pittsboro; her daughter, Kathy Easterling (Bill) of Pittsboro; and her grandchildren, Chip Bryan, Reid Bryan, Andrew Easterling and Blaire Easterling.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014 in Jean's home at 200 Ashford Dr., Pittsboro, NC.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2014 at Pittsboro UMC.

PEGGY JOAN ROBBINS STRICKLAND
SHELBY — Peggy Joan Robbins Strickland, 78, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Rutherford County, NC, on February 20, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Gwendolyn Proctor Robbins Abner and James Robbins. She was raised by her grandparents, the late James Fuller Proctor and Addie Proctor. Peggy retired from The Cleveland County Clerk of Court. She was very active in retirement, being very involved in her church and local politics (which she always had an opinion about). She had a love of reading which she passed to her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William Allen Strickland, her parents Gwendolyn Abner and James Robbins, and her grandparents James and Addie Proctor.
She is survived by her brother James “Bud” Robbins and wife Adolyn. She was mom to children: Joey Strickland and wife Denise, Gwen Huss and husband Greg, Kim Davis and husband Sam, Mark Strickland and Paulette Pegram and husband Bob. She set an example of how to be a servant at church, in the community and in our families.
As Nana she left behind 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild: Kari, Allen and Lauren Strickland, Eric and Matt Huss, Steven and Stephanie Davis, Shawn Strickland, Chasity Walker and husband Johnathan, R.H. Pegram and wife Audrey and their son Landon, and Zack and Addie Pegram.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Putnam Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Glisson and Rev. Gary Marburger officiating. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Cecil Burton Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and other times at the family home.

SANFORD — Emmett Arthur Wright, 68, of 412 Wagon Trail Road, Sanford, died Saturday (5/3/14) at Sunbridge Community Home Care and Hospice Center in Siler City.
He was the son of the late Geneva Light and Emmett Foot Wright.

He is survived by one daughter, Andren Wright-Thompson (Jerrod) of Sanford, and two grandchildren.

SANFORD — Teofilo de Jesus Ramos, 48, of Sanford, died Saturday (5/3/14).

He is survived by his parents, Rafael de Jesus Ramos and Eva Lostenia Romeros, and his wife, Norma Gladis Martinez, all of Honduras; sons, Rafael Ramos of Sanford, Alexs Ramos of Broadway and Teofilo De Jesus Ramos Jr. of Pennsylvania; brothers, Faviel Vicitocion Boquedono Romero and Gustavo David Ramos Romero; and four grandchildren.
