MARY FRANCES YARBOROUGH
SANFORD — Mary Frances Yarborough, 86, of Sanford, N.C., died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at her home.
A Memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Barbecue Presbyterian Church. The family will greet friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall.
Mrs. Yarborough was born in Cameron and preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Jewette and Lois Hart, and a brother, Ronald Lee Autrey. She was a member of Barbecue Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir for many years. Mrs. Yarborough retired from Bankingport Insurance where she served the public for some 30 years.
Mrs. Yarborough is survived by her husband of 65 years, Marvin; daughter, Denise Y. Sykes and husband Kenneth of Eastover; son, Freddie Yarborough and wife Kathy of Sanford; two grandchildren, Cameron Yarborough of Sanford and Elizabeth Sykes of Las Vegas; several nieces and nephews.

OLIVIA — William “W.D.” Duncan Holder, age 57, of Olivia, N.C. died July 25, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Holder was born in Lee County, on Dec. 21, 1955, to the late Clyde Thomas Holder and Mabel Gilmore Owen Holder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ella Jean Wofford. He was retired from Goodyear Tire Company.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Cindy Graham Holder of the home; a son, Jason Holder and wife Holly of Burlington; a daughter, Candace Holder Hodgin and husband Billy of Sanford; two sisters, Belinda Holder of Sanford and Totsy Owen of Troy; two grandchildren, Olivia Lynn Holder and Bella Deanne Holder.
The funeral will be held at Olivia Presbyterian Church on 3 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013, with the Rev. George Walton presiding.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 27, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home. Burial will follow at a later date.

SARAH BERT RIDDLE SCHENCK
CONNEAUT, Ohio — Sarah Bert Riddle Schenck, 85, died Wednesday (7/24/13) at Saint Mary’s Health and Rehab in Erie, Pa.
She was was born on March 12, 1928, in the Deep River community, daughter of the late Anna Hurley Riddle and Luther London Riddle. She was a 1945 graduate of Deep River High School and completed her education at Sanford Business College. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Evie Jean; and her brothers, Dan, Kato, George and Lewis Riddle.
She is survived by her husband, Rand G. “Bud” Schenck; two daughters, Marian “M.J.” (Rob) Samanka of Erie, Pa., and Susan Lester of Hudson, Ohio; two grandchildren; two sisters, Delano Riddle Borys of Louisburg and Judith (Jerry) Nance of Sanford; a brother, Jack (Peggy) Riddle of Sanford; and numerous nieces, nephews and many more distant relatives.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at New Leaf United Methodist Church, 283 Buffalo St., Conneaut, Ohio, with Mary Prior, associate pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio.
Family will receive friends today from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Marcy Funeral Home in Conneaut, Ohio.

SILER CITY — Graveside service for Sgt. Major (US Army retired) Bobby Ray Inman, 67, who died Wednesday (7/24/13), was held Friday at 10 a.m. at Shallow Well Cemetery with Pat Blakley, Kelly Rouse and Kyndal Rouse officiating. Burial followed with full military honors.
Soloist was Kyndal Rouse.

EAGLE SPRINGS — Thelma Eudeana Hicks Rouse, 87, of 7448 N.C. Hwy. 705, died Thursday (7/25/13) at her residence.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bright Light Baptist Church with the Rev. Ralph Voncannon and the Rev. Billy J. Brady officiating. Burial will follow at the Rouse Family Cemetery.
She was born in Rich Mountain, Tenn. At one time she was employed by Atomic Energies in Oak Ridge, Tenn. She was an Army veteran where she served in W.W. II. She was a graduate of Sandhills Community College. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl “Paul” Rouse; son, James Grier Rouse; and one grandson.
She is survived by daughters, Narcissus Jones and husband Gary of Parkton, Iris Moon and husband Robbie of High Falls, Lilac Kennedy and husband Roger of Robbins; sons, Doyle Rouse of Asheboro, Keith Rouse and wife Kathy of Carthage, Gerald Rouse and wife Laura of Eagle Springs, Vaughn Rouse of Eagle Springs, and Adrian Rouse of Robbins; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Lavada Robbins of Clinton, Tenn., Lola Cox of Jacksboro, Tenn; and brother, James Hicks of Conover.
Visitation will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Joyce-Brady Chapel in Bennett, and other times at her home.

Soloists at the service were Lisa Britt and Matthew Britt. Soloist at the graveside was Debra Wyatt.
