ELTON ALEXANDER PATTERSON SR.
CAMERON — Mr. Elton Alexander Patterson, Sr., age 84, of Cameron, NC, died Thursday, October 10, 2013 at his home.
He was born in Harnett County, NC on July 30, 1929 to the late Henry S. Patterson and Bertha Calcutt Patterson. He was also preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Marie Mays Patterson; sisters Olga Mae Dupree and Viola Patterson; and brother Thomas Gilbert Patterson, Sr. Mr. Patterson was a sheet metal worker in the heating and air conditioning business. He served our country in the United States Army 82nd Airborne.
Mr. Patterson is survived by three sons, Alton Wayne Patterson and wife Ethel of Bulls Gap, TN, Kenneth Wayne Patterson, Sr. of the home, Elton Alexander Patterson, Jr. and wife Brenda of Cameron; three daughters, Debby Patterson of the home, Annette Patterson Burgess of Sanford, Kimberly Marie Patterson of Cameron; seventeen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; honorary daughters Bobbie Elliott, Marhea Vines, Jenifer Corscadden; and special friends Anthony Hardison, Mike Corscadden, Joe Mannino, Ronald Stafford, Sr. and Donald Tart.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 14, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and a memorial service will be Tuesday, October 15th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Mr. Elvin Ray Moore, Sr. presiding.

SUZANNE “ZANNIE” CLEAVINGER
SANFORD — Suzanne “Zannie” Cleavinger, 81, of Carolina Trace, died Thursday (10/10/13) at Central Carolina Hospital. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.
DURHAM — Purcell Suitt, 70, of 1019 Buchanan Blvd., died Thursday (10/10/13) at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Knotts Funeral Home.
ANNIE LYNN GUNTER SESSOMS
SANFORD — Annie Lynn Gunter Sessoms of Hubert, formerly of Sanford, died Thursday (10/10/13).
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.
She was born in Lee County, daughter of the late Bennett L. Gunter and Elva Mae Coggins Gunter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Preston Sessoms, and two brothers, MD Gunter and Arnette Gunter. She was a member of the Sanford Church of God before moving to Hubert. She enjoyed her line dancing at the Enrichment Center and was a member of the Sanford Brickers Square Dance Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Suzanne S. Schreckengost and husband Charles of Hubert; two sons, Harry Sessoms and wife Jeanette of Tennessee, and Perry Sessoms and wife Jeannie of Shallotte; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

RUBY HALL ROLLINS
SANFORD — Funeral service for Ruby Hall Rollins, 96, who died Tuesday (10/8/13), was held Friday at 1 p.m. at East Sanford Baptist Church with the Rev. Robbie Gibson and the Rev. Robert Yandle officiating. Burial followed at Shallow Well Cemetery.
Pianist was Suzanne Bowen. Soloists were William Ellis and Ashley Wilkins. The congregation also sang.
Active pallbearers were Kenneth Foushee, Ronnie Eubanks, Clint Key, Jimmy Parrish, Graham Johnson Jr. and Brian Thompson. Honorary pallbearers were Mickey McBryde, John Wilkins, Burton Stanley and J.B. Vick.
Arrangements were by Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.
MARIAH NICOLE JOHNSON
SANFORD — Mariah Nicole Johnson, infant, died Thursday (10/10/13) at Central Carolina Hospital.
She is survived by her parents, Marcus and Ebony Johnson of Sanford; her sister, Mya Johnson of Sanford; grandparents, Linda Stradford of Sanford, Willie Shaw of Decatur, Ga., and Leon and Carmen Johnson of Cameron; great-grandparents, Mary Johns of Sanford and Aida Warren of South Hill, Va.; four aunts and one uncle.
Funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Knotts Funeral Home. Burial will be at Minter Cemetery.
