SANFORD — Michael “Mike” Sauls, 64 of Sanford, NC; died Thursday December 6th 2012 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. Mr. Sauls was born June 7, 1948. in Greensboro, NC, to his late biological mother Peggy Fraski and adopted parents Lee Royal Sauls and Bertie Mae (Brown) Sauls.
A visitation will be held from 7 to 9PM on Tuesday December 11th 2012 at the Miller-Boles Funeral Home in Sanford with military honors being rendered at 8PM.
Mr. Sauls served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War receiving the Purple Heart. Mike enjoyed trips to Surf City, NC, where he loved to pier fish. He was a good hearted family man who loved his motorcycle, and the occasional bonfire. He would give you the shirt off his back and would expect nothing in return.
Mr. Sauls is survived by his wife, Dorothy G. Sauls. Two sons, Dane Bumgarner of Vass and Waylon Sauls and wife Jessica of Vass. Three daughters, Carol Cofery of Chapel Hill, NC; Brooke Mason and husband Quincy of Siler City, NC; and Emily Gilchrist of Sanford, NC; Two brothers Billy and Robert Maness and a sister, Margie Goral all of Michigan. Eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

CARTHAGE — Alesia Lynn Bolton Whitaker, 52, of Carthage died Thursday (12/6/2012) at her home.
Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Beaver Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home.
Born in Columbia, South Carolina, April 6, 1960 to the late Bobbie Gene and Phyllis Elliott Bolton Whitaker grew up in Fort Myers, Fla.
She is survived by her husband Mickey J. Whitaker, daughter Dana Snyder and husband Jason of Harrison, Ga; Loren McRae and husband James of Ft. Meyers, Fla; son Tyler Whitaker of Carthage; step daughters Heather Hutchison and husband Andrew of Birmingham, Ala., Melissa Cokely and husband Drew of Moody, Ala.; sister Lenora B. Lee of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; brothers Broderick Bolton of Merritt Island, Fla., Angelo Bolton of Alva, Fla. and eight grandchildren.

DALE T BROWN
LILLINGTON — Dale T. Brown, 65, of Lillington, died recently at his home.
A native of Harnett County, Brown was a long-time employee of Sanford Finishing.
A graveside service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Mamers, with the Rev. David Anderson officiating, A visitation is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday at O’Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home and all other times at the home of Connie and J.D. Colville.
Brown was preceded in death by his parents Mack Chalmers and Christine Cox Brown, his daughter Sandra Brown, three sisters Ruby Nordan, Nadine Griffin and Jackie Stone; a brother Angus Brown and a grandson Brandon Hill.
He is survived by his daughter Tonya M. Brown, of Lillington; his sister Mamie Jo Darroch of Lillington; brothers Mack Brown and Robin Brown, both of Mamers; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

DALE PHILLIP MOLTER
SANFORD — Funeral services for Dale Phillip Molter were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, at Miller-Boles Funeral Home in Sanford, NC with the Rev. Darrell Harris presiding. Special music was played by pianist Janet Childress with “Ave Maria” being sung by Gerry Molter. The Eulogy was given by Bert Molter.
Arrangements were by Miller-Boles Funeral Home.

OLIVIA — Funeral service for William Charles Graham, 69, of Olivia, who died Dec. 5, 2012, was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Olivia Presbyterian Church with the Rev. George Walton officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery.
Pianist was Holly Walton. Claudia Pace and Holly Walton sang a duet. The congregation also sang.
Active pallbearers were Johnny Hunter, Ricky Patterson, Charles Thomas, Dustin Thomas, Jimmy Orders, Timmy Hickman, Ronnie Holder, and Jimmy Maddox. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Thomas and Max Dickens.

CHARITY ELIZABETH HUNT YARBOROUGH
SANFORD — Funeral service for Charity Elizabeth Hunt Yarborough, 88,
of Sanford, who died Dec. 5, 2012, was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Jonesboro Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Kathryn Dudley and with Yarborough’s nephew, Rev. Mike Yarborough officiating. Burial followed at Shallow Well Cemetery. Pianist was Tammy Strickland. Soloist was Yarborough’s great-grandson, Britton Buchanan. The congregation also sang.
Pallbearers were Ted Sloan, Keith Fox, Joshua Fox, Derrick Whitaker, Ashley Riddle, and Tracy Yarborough. Great grandchild, Madison Blair Whitaker (U.S. Navy), saluted the casket and led the casket out of the church.
