ROBERT ERNEST WILLETT

GULF — Robert Ernest Willett, 77, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Central Carolina Hospital, Sanford, NC.

Mr. Willett was a native of Chatham County, NC. He was the son of the late Bill and Blanche Willett of Gulf, NC. Mr. Willett was retired from Allied Signal. He loved his family and friends and had never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Willett.

Mr. Willett is survived by son, Ronnie Willett and wife Jeanette of Gulf; daughter, Carrie Hooker and husband Paul of Goldson; son, Randy and wife Jennifer of Gulf; daughter, Tabitha Clack and husband Bryan of Broadway; son, Robert A. Willett of San Diego, CA; one brother, Bill Willett of Sanford, NC; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you give a donation to the charity of your choice.

CARTHAGE — Regenia Ruth Grant Mathias, 96, died Tuesday (4/9/13) at Tara Plantation Nursing Home.

She was born in Athens, Ohio, on May 15, 1916, to Robert and Mary Booth Grant. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Booth Grant; her husband, George S. Mathias; one sister, Gertrude; and three brothers, Paul, James and Charles.

She is survived by two sons, George R. Mathias of Ohio and David G. Mathias of Whispering Pines; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date in Ohio.

SHIRLEY ANN BOYTE MARSH

CARTHAGE — Shirley Ann Boyte Marsh, 75, died Sunday (4/14/13) at home.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Eugene Ussery and Pastor John Chavis officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

She was born in Carthage on March 11, 1938, to Wesley Tillman and Margaret Oldham Boyte. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Polly Mashburn.

She is survived by her husband, Waymon Dallas Marsh; three children, Debra M. Hayes, Gail M. Danley and Rodney W. Marsh, all of Carthage; two sisters, Nellie Gray Peele of Carthage and Shelby Jean Callicutt of Troy; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

JOSEPH WESLEY WILLIAMSON

CARTHAGE — Joseph Wesley Williamson, 79, died Friday (4/12/13) at home.

Funeral service was held Monday at 3 p.m. at New Life Tabernacle UPC Church with Pastor Dennis Patterson officiating. Burial was at Cross Hill Cemetery in Carthage with full military honors.

He was born in Pinehurst on July 27, 1933, to Shelton and Lillie Talbert Williamson. He worked in the dry cleaning business and served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shelton and Lillie Talbert Williamson, and one grandson.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Patterson Williamson; four children, Tim Williamson and wife Pat of Carthage, Karen Martin and husband Kirk of Aberdeen, Linda Auman and husband Mark of Jackson Springs and Jackie Davis and husband Jesse of Cameron; four sisters, Caroline Reynolds of Pinebluff, Margaret Furr of Whispering Pines, Ila Scott of Robbins and Marie Craig of Southern Pines; one brother, Samuel Williamson of Georgia; five grandchildren and three great-grandchiuldren.
