ANN JOURDAN STOUT

BURLINGTON — Ann Jourdan Stout, 70, of Burlington, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Lee County and was the daughter of the late Ralph G. and Maggie Talley Jourdan. Mrs. Stout was formerly employed as a dental assistant.

Ann was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She loved her family deeply, especially her six grandchildren. She loved to watch college and professional football and was a huge fan of NC State and the Atlanta Braves. She also had a great love for her two little dogs, Baby and Cody. They brought her great joy in the last several years.

She is survived by her daughter, Renee (Larry) Presnell of Asheboro; son, Gray (Ruth) Stout of Burlington; grandchildren, Hannah, Tye, Aaron and Sarah Presnell, Brendon and Elizabeth Stout; brother, Ralph G. (Patsy) Jourdan, Jr. of Elon; foster sister, Mary Sue (David) Riddle of Sanford and four nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Alamance Regional Medical Center for their help and compassion over the last several days. Ann's care and comfort was exceptional.

SANFORD — Willard D. Crump, 73, 113 West Forest Oak Drive, died Tuesday (2/26/13) at his residence. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Knotts Funeral Home.

MONCURE — Grace Eloise Bryant, 75, of 1817 Gabe Bryant Road, died Monday (2/25/13) at Central Carolina Hospital. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Knotts Funeral Home in Pittsboro.

MARGIE BENNETT STANLEY

LILLINGTON — Margie Bennett Stanley, 83, of Lillington died Monday (2/25/13).

She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late W.C. and Lula Smith Bennett. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Melvin Stanley; two brothers, Alton Bennett and David Bennett; and two sisters, Isabelle Tucker and Eunice Autry. She was an active member of Ephesus Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and Sunday school teacher.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at O’Quinn-Peebles Chapel, Lillington, with the Rev. Bert Pitchford and Dr. Bill Goodnight officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Memorial Gardens, Lillington.

Visitation will be held from 7 until 9 p.m. today at O’Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home.

Memorials: Flowers are welcome, however, it was her request that people donate jars of peanut butter to her favorite charity, the Harnett Food Pantry. Collection baskets will be available at the funeral home. Monetary donations may also be made to the Harnett Food Pantry, P.O. Box 2084, Lillington, N.C. 27546.

She is survived by three sons, Walter Stanley and wife Liz of Knightdale, Buster Stanley and wife Joann of Mercer, Pa., and Ray Stanley of Lillington; two daughters, Carolyn Cox and husband James of Lillington and Bonnie Stanley of Sanford; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and sister, Dollie Mason of Broadway.
