LETTER: Vote them out in November
To the Editor:
“If you like your insurance, you can keep your insurance; If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor ... PERIOD.” (President Obama speaking on tour). “Despite all that good news, there’s plenty of horror stories being told. All are untrue, but they’re being told all over America,” and, “I can’t say that every one of the Koch brothers’ ads are a lie, but I’ll say this: Mr. President, the vast, vast majority of them are.” (Senator Harry Reid speaking to the Senate, Feb. 26.)
Four years after its passing, the Affordable Health Care Act (known as “Obamacare”) resulted in a disastrous implementation — significant lack of testing, followed by several presidential edicts (executive order) to change the “law” disregarding our constitutional process (Congress initiates/approves/forwards to the president such changes for bill approval/implementation).
Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi stated: “But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.” Well, we now know what’s in it, don’t like it and want a major overhaul fix. The healthcare system was changed for an estimated “30-40 million un-insured” at the expense of the remaining 300 million Americans who were pleased with their current insurance. All of this ACA rollout “mess and resulting chaos” cost is estimated by the GAO at $350M.
Welcome to the new American world of uncontrolled/lack of oversight government actions, high finance and free spending, leading to American hardships and greater debt and deficit. Vote them out in November.
