LETTER: Asking 'what if'

Feb. 05, 2014 @ 09:52 AM

To the Editor:

Has anyone besides me ever wondered how big and important the word IF is?

For example, if the mainstream news media spent as much time and effort investigating the Benghazi terrorist attack against our diplomatic compound in Libya, in which four brave Americans lost their lives, and the Fast and Furious gun running scandal on our southern border (as they have and continue to report) on the traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge in New Jersey with much fanfare, then we possibly could have seen a different result in the 2012 elections — no Obama Care, no gridlock in Congress, an impartial Justice Department, no IRS investigating only conservative organizations, no NSA snooping on private citizens and much more respect between our military and the White House. We probably would not have had to contend with Bill and Hillary in the 2016 elections promising to continue the same liberal agenda as we are now on.

One wonders what IF the mainstream news media had done their due diligence before the 2012 elections. Perhaps the results would have been different. P.S., I also wonder if Gov. Christie will be more careful in picking his friends in the future.
