LETTER: Negative advertising doesn’t get my vote
To the Editor:
For several weeks, voters have seen your signs by our roadways and in yards, and we have seen your advertisements on our televisions and on our social media. It may be too late to make this appeal for our May primary, but could we ask that you run for office based on your own ability to perform in the office for which you are running?
If you can’t win my vote based on using your own ideas and accomplishments and your present position in life, there is no need to try to get my vote by running down your opponent. I don’t “buy” into negative advertisements in an effort to make yourself look better. That doesn’t work to get my vote. Thank you for your positive advertising.
