LETTER: Unusual traffic pattern gives cause for concern
To the Editor:
Re: Well written letter (To the Editor) of Thomas K. Spence Jr., published some days ago.
I wish to applaud his efforts to enlighten the public concerning the unusual traffic patterns of the interchange of N.C. 87 (South) and the southern end of the bypass.
If local drivers are perplexed as I am, how much more so passers-thru?
The south bound lanes of 87 South seem especially dangerous at night, with two terminations. Quoting Mr. Spence, this “forces the driver to yield to other drivers who have decided to pass and again to autos entering from the bypass.”
I have noticed escalating drive-offs in this area.
Hello, Lee County? Anyone else out there noticing what I have?
Living on 87 South and seeing this, I am.
