LETTER: Candidate Dolan is good, selfless man

Oct. 18, 2013 @ 04:58 AM

To the Editor:

Max Dolan is running for the at-large seat on the Sanford City Council. He does not have a personal agenda but rather wants to work to improve the lives of those who call Sanford their home.

Max Dolan is a good man who has given much for his family and his country. Max enlisted in the Army and was sent to Vietnam. He also served in several other countries that do not share the freedoms we have in the United States of America. Max has drawn upon these life experiences to make him the good, selfless man he is today.

Max is not enamored of himself, but rather he is a true conservative who loves God and his country. He is a devoted family man. If you speak with others in Sanford, you may find that Max helped them attain employment or that he helped them in some other way.

Max has a deep understanding of how fortunate we are to live in a nation under God with many freedoms lacking in other parts of the world. Max wants to work to hold onto those freedoms that many of us hold dear.

Max is my friend, and I know he will work hard as a member of the Sanford City Council to make Sanford a better place to live and work.
