LETTER: Kudos for Pittsboro’s water quality

Apr. 25, 2014 @ 04:58 AM

To the Editor:

Recently the Town of Pittsboro announced that it is producing some of the best water in the Triangle. The advances that the town has made over the past seven years regarding its water treatment and water distribution reflect consistent attention by the town board and investment by the town board over the years to improve the quality of water Pittsboro produces and its ability to safely distribute the water to citizens, businesses and institutional users. This is a core purpose of government: invest in the community and provide good quality and safe infrastructure for the benefit of all citizens.

Kudos to the many leaders and staff members over the past seven years who have worked to make Pittsboro’s water better, safer, more reliable and better tasting. Let’s keep the momentum going!
