LETTER: Disagreeing doesn't make someone an extremist
To the Editor
This letter is in response to the letter to the editor titled “A simple answer to hypothetical question," [which appeared on] page 4A on March 12, 2013. Mr. Rotter, please wake up. Not everyone who disagrees with you is a racist or a far-right extremist, as I do not agree with you and I do not consider myself either one. Many far-left extremists are also filled with hate. That is not constructive in finding solutions.
You seem to think that “… the hypothetical question of killing non-combatants on American soil …” is only a problem with the far-right extremists. Let me remind you that our Constitution gives everyone in the United States the right to due process and the presumption of innocence till proven guilty. As a civilized country, we cannot allow anyone the power to kill someone, with a drone or any other weapon, without just cause.
God bless America!
