J-M's Hudson fires no-hitter

Jordan-Matthews junior Josh Hudson pitched a no-hitter as the Jets blanked visiting West Montgomery 5-0 Friday night.

Hudson allowed one hit batter as the only Warrior baserunner of the game. He tallied 11 strikeouts.
The Jets took the lead with three runs in the third. The big hit was Hunter Causey's two-RBI double. Caleb Nixon and Drew Hinshaw drove in one run apiece. Causey, Hinshaw, Robert Tobar, Trey Lineberry and Dylan Smith scored one run each.
Jordan-Matthews (1-1), after a 4-2 loss at Southern Lee on opening night for both squads Wednesday, will host the Cavaliers (2-0) at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
