Jordan-Matthews rolled to a 7-3 victory in a match-up of two conference champions at PAC-6 champion Wheatmore (18-4) in the third round of the NCHSAA 2A softball state tournament Tuesday night.

The Lady Jets (20-4), champs of the Mid-State, advance to the state quarterfinals and a home game against Three Rivers Conference champ South Columbus (20-7) at 7 p.m. Friday in Siler City.

Jordan-Matthews took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first and the score remained 1-0 until another Lady Jet tally in the fourth. Dee Decristofaro's two-run double was the key hit in a four-run Jordan-Matthews sixth which opened up a 7-1 lead.
