Campbell ends 3-game skid, tops Presbyterian 77-66

Reco McCarter had 21 points, 10 rebounds and five assists Wednesday night and Campbell ended a three-game losing streak with a 77-66 victory against Presbyterian.

McCarter shot 8 of 9 from the field while both Luke Moyer and Leek Leek shot 4 of 5 from 3-point range. Moyer had 16 points, Leek scored 14 and Kyre' Hamer added 13.

Campbell's (12-14, 6-5 Big South Conference) Antwon Oliver stole the ball from Markus Terry with 2:21 left and took it the other way for a layup. The play capped a 6-0 run and extended the Camels' lead to 72-61.

Presbyterian (5-21, 1-10) had closed an 11-point deficit to 62-58 on Reggie Dillard's free throws with 6:03 left and stayed within 66-61 before falling too far behind.

William Truss had 17 points and 18 rebounds while Jordan Downing had 18 points. The Blue Hose were 4 of 15 from 3-point range.
